Clean Elections, Arizona’s nonpartisan election agency, will be on the ground and online during the month of October.

“The Citizens Clean Elections Commission is constantly working to provide the voters of Arizona the best and most complete election information possible,” said Avery D. Xola, Voter Education Manager. “And October is no exception. Whether it is learning about the election process or assisting those looking to run for office, the Commission wants the public to have as much information as possible.”

Key dates: October 14 – Clean Elections will appear at Celebrate Mesa providing the public information on registering to vote, signing up for an early ballot, in addition to providing information on the Clean Elections program. The Celebrate Mesa event anticipates 10,000-15,000 attendees. With approximately 283,000 registered voters in the City of Mesa, this is a great opportunity to connect with the community and educate Mesa voters about upcoming elections.

October 27 – Clean Elections staff will be at the Tempe Public Library to explain “How to Discuss Politics with Friends, Family and Coworkers.” This event will help give voters tips and ideas on how to have civil discussions with friends and family.

Throughout October – Voters seeking election information on the web have access to our online voter education video series , which explains how to register to vote, how elections are kept secure, how ballot by mail works and much more.

As the school year is well underway, educators have access to a line up of elected officials and community leaders sharing their civic biography and/or reading an inspiring story in the Clean Elections Civic Storytelling Series to celebrate civics in the classroom. Educators can also download the Clean Elections Civic Curriculum for ready-to-implement civic education modules that meet state standards.

“2024 is rapidly approaching, and with it a multitude of elections that have different rules on who can participate,” said Voter Education Director Gina Roberts. “Clean Elections always strives to meet voters where they are, whether at community events, on social media, or online, to ensure voters have access to factual, official election information so they can cast their vote confidently. ”
