I have had the privilege to serve as a police officer for 12 years in Arizona and California. I retired from the FBI as a Special Agent after 20 years of service. Prescott is my home, and I have my heart and mind set on being your next state senator. We can do better for Arizona. Let's bring the government back to the people. Our public schools are in crisis. We can turn crisis into excellence by investing in our children, teachers and public schools to ensure everyone has access to quality education. In order to fully fund public education, we will investigate and change laws that have allowed corporations to take advantage of tax credits and loopholes that cost over 13 billion dollars in lost revenue to the state general fund each year. As a clean elections candidate, I strongly believe there should be no special interest groups influencing our representatives or laws. I am an independent-minded Democrat, dedicated to serving the best interests of our communities as a fiscal conservative and common-sense lawmaker. I would be honored to serve District 1 in the state senate and bring hope, prosperity, and opportunity to all people.

"Legislation Should Be About Good Policy and Not About Politics" Living in the Prescott area most of my life, it's my honor to have served LD1 in the Senate and House and as Chino Valley Mayor and Prescott City Councilwoman, all while adhering to those words. As a business owner and experienced civic leader, I bring ideas to the table finding common ground, resulting in successful bi-partisan legislation. Introduced bills range from funding full day kindergarten; expansion of JTED education programs; eliminating business regulations; workers comp fraud; water harvesting; Yarnell Hotshot State Park; highway infrastructure; and reducing government waste. This legislation has resulted in over 35 legislative awards like Az. Chamber of Commerce Legislator of the Year; Az. Capitol Times Legislator of Year in Public Policy; Champion Az. League of Cities and Towns; Legislator of the Year JTED/CTE; Golden Apple Award; Hero of the Taxpayer. I will continue to fight for our rural communities; public safety; I17 highway corridor improvements; local water issues; education funding; ranching and AG. industries; and ensuring a balanced budget with sound investing policies. I appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in me and ask for your continued support and vote.

As a helicopter pilot, Vietnam veteran, and former member of the U.S. Customs Service specializing in drug interdiction, I've spent much of my life defending our nation. It's my love of country and of Arizona that motivates me to serve. I'm a proud conservative who has voted for real balanced budgets, to restore our Constitutional rights, defend our state sovereignty, increase school funding and school choice, and protect the family. I take seriously the oath to preserve and defend our Constitution and the God-given rights it describes. I'm 100% pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment, and I've won awards from pro-taxpayer and pro-family groups. Working with State Representative David Stringer, we've been strong advocates for our rural district, including properly regulating the drug rehab centers that have sprung up all over Prescott, and improving our infrastructure, particularly our roads and I-17. If you'll have us, we'll continue to defend our water, advocate for common sense forest health measures, and continue to push for secure borders. We're not career politicians, just concerned citizens who are willing to continue serving if you will have us. Please support your proven conservative team of Campbell and Stringer. Thank you!

As a doctor who has practiced in Arizona for 27 years, I understand the challenges facing our State. As your representative, I will work on these issues: EDUCATION. We need to fully fund our public schools first, so every child receives an excellent education. Instead, our legislature has cut funding deeply, so now our schools are crumbling and teachers lack basic supplies. To stop the legislature from siphoning even more money away from public schools, please Vote NO on Prop 305. Let's give every Arizona child a chance to excel. HEALTHCARE. All other developed countries make medical care affordable for everyone. We can, too! No one should go without needed medical care, and no one willing to work should worry about paying medical bills. JOBS. We can attract business and jobs to Arizona with excellent schools, a well-educated and drug-free workforce, delightfully livable cities and towns, and by preserving the beautiful landscape that makes Arizona unique. PREVENTING CRIME. Two-thirds of state prison inmates have substance abuse or mental health disorders that often caused their crimes. Providing treatment will reduce crime drastically. PLEASE ELECT ME FOR A BETTER ARIZONA.

I have had a long successful career in the information technology field as a problem solver. My slogan, "JAN CAN, WE CAN" reflects my ability to achieve goals. I am a retired Technical Services Manager beginning my career after high school in information technologies. I was a Senior Systems Consultant for Computer Associates for 8 years. I served 18 years as Technical Services Manager, in a leadership role, for the LA County Sheriff Department. I have a bachelor's degree in business and dual Master of Science degrees in Information Technologies and Business Administration. I served as adjunct faculty member of the University of La Verne in California, and served six years as VP, Board of Directors for Solheim Lutheran Home. I moved to Prescott in 2014. I serve as Ambassador for Alzheimer's Association, Treasurer for Arizona Federation of Democratic Women (AFDW), and Treasurer for the Democratic Women of the Prescott Area (DWPA). As a Representative in Arizona's State House, I will fight for affordable health care, quality public education for every child, promote fiscal responsibility, and support sustainable energy and water conservation. After years of leadership and government experience, I believe the time is right to invest my qualifications toward a stronger, safer, more robust Arizona that includes transportation and education. I am a first-generation college graduate with a passion for education; as your Representative, I will be an advocate for responsible reinvestment in public education. For over a decade my husband and I have enjoyed living in the Quad City area, and I currently serve as a Prescott Valley Town Councilmember. Faith is important to me; we are active in our church. I am an experienced leader whose career includes key positions within the Arizona Department of Transportation and the Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization. Two of my former bosses independently said, "You get things done!" Part of that is because I have demonstrated that I can work with people and am level-headed. I have the honor of being a Flinn-Brown Fellow and was named the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) 2017-2018 "Woman of the Year". I am dedicated to promoting economic development across LD1 and will use my experience to champion the I-17 transportation corridor. We enjoy an amazing quality of life and I'm running to keep it that way.

As a small businessman, I've spent my life in the private sector, creating jobs and economic growth. As a civic activist, I've been a taxpayer advocate, standing up to liberal politicians who wanted to raise taxes and grow the government. Now, as I complete my first term in the State House, I can point to my record of cutting taxes, boosting classroom funding and teacher pay, reducing regulation, and boosting Arizona's status as a top-job creating state. It has been great to work with State Representative Noel Campbell and our district has been well served by having a strong team that works together. Standing up to liberal special interests has earned us a primary from a nice lady who thinks that our conservative record is bad, but that's okay. The voters should have the opportunity to make that decision. We'll continue to fight to restore our Constitutional rights, defend the 2nd Amendment, secure our border, defend state sovereignty, stop Common Core, cut government regulations, encourage rural job creation, advance water and forest health issues, and we will give our whole district-from Anthem to the Verde Valley-a strong, conservative voice. All we need is your support and your vote!

Andrea Dalessandro
State Senator - District 2
Democratic
http://dalessandroforaz.com/
Senator Andrea Dalessandro has taught elementary, high school, community college and university for over 25 years. Since 2008 she has run for the legislature to fight the systemic defunding of public education. She is grateful to the Red for ED movement and that educators and their supporters from around the state witnessed an informative civics lesson. She serves as the Ranking Member of Natural Resources, Energy and Water Committee. She was one of only two legislators to receive an A+ on the Grand Canyon Chapter of Sierra Club's Report Club. She is the State Lead for the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators. Her Senate Concurrent Memorial, which passed with bipartisan support, urges Congress to pass the Nogales Wastewater Fairness Act. When the Corporation Commission has meetings in Tucson you can count on her being there to fight for rooftop solar and the good paying jobs that the solar industry generates. Senator Dalessandro was named Legislator of the Year by the Arizona Association of Community Health Centers after being nominated by Mariposa Health Center in Santa Cruz County. She has been a tireless advocate for restoring Cherrybell Mail Processing Center in Tucson to full operational status. Reelect LD2 Senator Andrea Dalessandro.

When you send legislators to Phoenix to represent you, you expect just that--representation. As a business owner and resident of LD2, I have seen first-hand that we do not have advocates for us in Phoenix to overcome the advantage that Maricopa County has in the Legislature. We have no seat at the table. Those of us looking for jobs, wanting safe communities and good schools have seen no change in six years. While Maricopa County grows, Southern Arizona remains stagnant. I am running because I believe there are opportunities for Southern Arizona. I have seen the strength and grace of its people. As a member of Pima JTED Business/Industry Council, I have witnessed the amazing work of our students; as an Honorary Commander and member of the Desert Thunder Squadron at Davis Monthan AFB, I know the importance of our military. The skills I have developed through business and as a former teacher will serve our district well in the Legislature. I am asking for your vote to take a seat at the table and represent all of you. Please call me with any questions at 520-306-1480. Working together, we can make Arizona the best it can be.

Bobby Wilson
State Senator - District 2

From a humble beginning as a poor Oklahoma farm boy with no father and a deranged mother, he worked his way through college and law school, practiced law for many years and then moved to Arizona in order to teach and develop collage level law courses and continues to so to this day. In the meantime he and his wife, Eileen, raised three daughters and started several businesses in Arizona and Mexico which they eventually sold to their employees, He is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and small business and wants to work with the governor and legislature to phase out the state's income tax and lower everyone's property taxes. He has created "Bobby's Plan to Make Arizona Great'' that he believes will accomplish that goal without raising anyone's taxes. He believes that vocational training in all high schools is a priority in order to create pools of trained workers in this state to attract out-of-state businesses to help boost our local economy, especially in South Tucson and Santa Cruz County. He is active in the Green Valley/Sahuarita Republican Club and is a Precinct Committeeman and volunteers at the local Catholic Church and at Friends-In Deed.

Being your Representative was my honor. I worked hard to live up to the trust you placed in me. As and career physics and math teacher, strengthening our education system is one of my top priorities. As your Representative I helped spearhead the effort in the House to restore funding for career and technical education, stood firm to protect education in the budget process, and fought to give students and parents the right to say no to excessive standardized testing. Together we must continue to address flaws in our education funding systems and ensure our accountability systems are meaningful and effective. As one of the few legislators from Southern Arizona serving in the majority, I had the ability to move and shape legislation. As a native Arizonan, I took representing the people and communities of our region seriously. While serving, I advocated for investing in our transportation infrastructure, stood up to protect our children in need, and worked to resolve issues for our community colleges. The legislation I sponsored and passed was focused on solving problems for our communities. Please give me your vote as I continue to work for you and Southern Arizona as your Representative.

Leadership, Experience, and Integrity; it is an honor to take ideas from Southern Arizona to the State House of Representatives because that is what Arizona needs; a little common sense and straight from the heart. Running for my fourth term as an Arizona State Representative for Legislative District 2, I am known for my work with the local stakeholders, school boards and business partners to bring together successful opportunities for growth and education. I serve on both the Land, Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Local and International Affairs Committees. I believe in creating opportunities and prosperity by supporting and encouraging public education and economic development efforts. I will continue to work diligently to protect Arizona's unique environment and to protect our most vulnerable. In addition, I serve on the Friends of the Green Valley Library, the Southeast Arizona Advisory Board of the Chicanos Por La Causa, Advisory Council of the Green Valley Salvation Army, and the Southeast Arizona Citizens Forum Board of the International Boundary Water Commission. We have been successful in bringing together the collective energy and leadership necessary to shape the future of our State.

Daniel Hernandez Jr., is a native Arizonan, lifelong Democrat, and Member of the Arizona State Legislature representing South Tucson, Sahuarita, Green Valley and Santa Cruz County. He currently serves on the Judiciary and Federalism Committees and is the Co-Founder of the LGBT Caucus. In his first term, Hernandez has received praise for his work to find bipartisan solutions including passing several bills in committee and the House. Dedicated to working on innovative solutions to address Arizona's economy, Hernandez helped pass legislation to protect small business from frivolous lawsuits. In 2011, while working in the office of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, Hernandez took actions on January 8th with which he is credited with saving her life. That day and the aftermath drove him to advocate for Gun Violence Prevention at the state and national level, which he does to this day. Prior to serving in the legislature, Hernandez was elected to the Sunnyside Unified School District Governing board in November 2011.. Hernandez is running for re-election in 2018 to the state house. He will continue to fight for education funding, protections for marginalized communities, access to quality and affordable healthcare and an economy that works for all Arizonans.

I am an Eagle Scout and an Engineer. I will be proactive in solving problems that impact our district residents. I believe all elected officials are to be conducting themselves as "Representatives of The People". As by nature a problem-solver, I will defend and protect our rights which is a nonpartisan expectation. My past legislative activities include articulating 2016 Session's HB2050 Bill which would have amended ARS 41-1034 Declaratory Relief from unconstitutional state agency and state department judgments that intrude into our "Liberty". Our Constitution states "Liberty" as being defined as our wages, children, home and property. Having been an orphan and having lived in a third world country, I clearly know the difference between a world without freedom, liberty and opportunity! I am grateful to have this opportunity to meet with district residents and to have discussed many problem-solving ideas that will help to improve our day to day lives in our state. I look forward to rolling up my sleeves as we solve problems together through our state law making process! Go to ElectSizer.com to learn more about Anthony Sizer. God Bless and Thank You for supporting my candidacy!

Sally Ann Gonzales
State Senator - District 3

Legislative District #3 deserves an experienced and strong advocate at the State Senate. Representative SALLY ANN GONZALES has the experience and know-how to get things done, she co-sponsored HB-2421 and SB-1235 both signed into law this session. Gonzales has served LD3 with integrity and candor, for eight years. As a former classroom teacher and "RedforED" supporter she has firsthand knowledge of what the teachers and parents are demanding; full education funding for district schools, competitive salaries and benefits for teachers and all support staff. Full-time counselors and nurses at each school and smaller classroom size are a must. As a grandmother to 25 she wants what our "Marchforourlives" students want, meaningful gun violence prevention legislation. That includes, background checks and a ban on Bump Stocks. Health Care for all and access to it, is a priority to her. As the majority continue to diminish the safety net for Arizonans she'll continue to fight for working families, seniors and the disabled. It's been her honor to serve as your State Representative and with your help she looks forward to continuing the good fight on these and other priorities in the Senate. It would be a privilege to represent you and our community in the Arizona State Senate. I am a third generation native of Tucson who has lived in this District most of my life. I began my professional career in banking and community lending, then moved to public service in Pima County where I was able to serve my community more directly as the Housing Program Manager until my retirement. I continue to volunteer on several community boards dedicated to housing, healthcare, cultural heritage, historic preservation, and social justice. As your Senator, I will represent you by working to bring people together around critical issues facing our community including safe sustainable housing and neighborhoods, jobs that support our families, high-quality public education, our environment, and healthcare for everyone. My pledge is to keep you informed in a spirit that brings everyone together. The changes and protections we all seek in Arizona won't be easy to achieve, but I am a problem solver who gets things done, and when we all work together, we can build consensus solutions, and change Arizona, so we will all benefit. Democracy works best when we do it together. I respectfully ask for your vote.

Olivia Cajero Bedford
State Representative - District 3

It's been an honor to serve my constituents for 16 years and I'm proud of the 45 years the Cajero family has been in public service. Following in the footsteps of my parents, Reps. Bernardo 'Nayo" and Carmen Cajero, it's been my mission to understand and appreciate my constituents, just as they did. As ranking Democratic member of the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, I challenged budget cuts made to education and transportation funding and actively combatted the the financial harm done the Republican majority. I served on the Commerce and Workforce Development and Joint Legislative Budget Committees, and Joint Committee on Capitol Review and Rules, so I understand the legislative process . I am a hard-working advocate for my constituents, demonstrated by endorsements and high ratings I've earned from groups over the years: Arizona Education Association, Arizona List, Fraternal Order of Police, Sierra Club, several unions and Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild who said "I have always been able to count on Olivia to vote for Tucson's interest. Her knowledge is invaluable in helping all of us...." Experience and knowledge are critical to navigating the legislative process. It is a privilege to serve and I'm honored be fighting for what's right!

When I became a first-generation college graduate, I knew I'd have to ensure that others like me had the same opportunity. I'm Andrés Cano. I'm 26, Latino, a progressive Democrat, and the product of a single mom who taught me to never give up. I want Arizonans to know that we'll fight for them. Our teachers deserve more pay, we need more dollars in our classrooms, and college needs to be accessible and affordable again. Instead of spending billions to put people behind bars, I want Arizonans to have a second chance. Instead of giving your money away to corporations and the wealthy, I believe in tax breaks for working people like us. We can create good-paying jobs by fixing Arizona's crumbling infrastructure. We can preserve our quality of life by protecting our environment. We can help seniors, children, and women by ensuring access to quality health care. Alma was born and raised on the south side of Tucson. A proud product of the Sunnyside School District, she earned a Bachelor of Science from The University of Arizona and a Masters in Public Health at the University of Arizona. She has further Public Health training from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. At 14 she was brutally attacked and subsequently exposed to the criminal justice system rigged against people of color especially those without means. This experience showed her what happens in our school to prison pipeline. As result of the brutal attack by an officer, she now suffers from severe spinal issues which have affected her physically. For the last decade, Alma has worked hard to elect Progressive Democrats to offices throughout Southern Arizona. She has served as campaign manager for many and was a delegate for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. As a humanitarian, she traveled to Ghana and Panama to help provide medical and public health services through free clinics. Most recently she led Arizonans United for Healthcare working to defeat the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. With 30 years of experience in education, rising from teacher to superintendent to construction supervisor to consultant, I have much to contribute to Arizona's educational crisis. Having a Doctorate in Education - Curriculum and Instruction; along with a Master of Science, Construction Management; a Master of Arts, Supervision and Administration; and Bachelor of Arts, Vocational Education means that I can relate to the struggles of the unskilled worker or the college graduate, the administrator wrestling a budget or the electrician wrestling with new city codes; the management of people and the management of materials. With a lifetime of experience, now is the time to capitalize on my experience and credentials to benefit the community. My top priorities are education; quality of life such as democratic participation, access to health care, a safe and clean environment, living wage jobs, and affordable housing; and reducing mass incarceration so that Arizona is Number One in Education not Incarceration. I bring my most important values of honesty and integrity to the issues in my district: water policy, roads and infrastructure, and stable employment. I currently serve on the Land, Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Transportation committees in the House.

Sara Mae Williams
State Representative - District 4
Green
https://smwpima.wixsite.com/smw4azld4
As a new Green Party member, I still very much, "Feel the Bern". Where I differ from that platform is my belief in amnesty over DACA for undocumented immigrants. With a number of my fellow tribal members living just South of the U.S./Mexico border, it is their/our right to freely flow within their/our lands, on both sides of the border. The perspective and voice we bring to the AZ political table, as Indigenous populations in this state and country, is the knowledge of the impact that drastic funding cuts can have on a people already living in great poverty. Arizona's current trajectory of vast funding cuts and policy changes, is turning this beautifully diverse state, both in population and environment, into one big high poverty reservation. Tribal communities can survive on the bare minimum, we do it on a daily basis. But, what happens when we want better for our people? Rather than fall in line and continue to be ignored by parties that seek out our support then vote against our best interests, it's time to hold our state elected leadership accountable to not just uplift tribal communities but all communities. Arizona deserves better! I can be your voice!

I'm grateful you elected me to the State Senate in 2016. I want you to know that I'm working hard to keep Arizona on the right track, to keep our economy growing, to keep jobs plentiful, and to increase our freedoms. Our budget is balanced, we have added substantial sums of money to our K-12 schools, we continue to roll back regulations that harm small businesses, and all of this is paying off. Today, Arizona is a national leader in job growth - in fact 4 of the top 5 cities to find a new job in are in Arizona. Our economy continues to gain steam. 5 of the top 10 public high schools are here in Arizona, and Arizona is a national leader in student achievement. And Arizona ranks as the #1 state for gun rights, the #1 pro-life state, and one of the top states for regulatory freedom. With your continued support I will keep working hard to deliver more success for our district and state. I ask for your vote!

J'aime Morgaine

I'm not a politician or a diplomat, I'm a political activist who is "fed up" with the political status quo that creates legislative gridlock and polarized parties. I'm a Kingman property owner ready to change outdated water rights laws that were never intended to allow foreign investors and corporations to capitalize on commercial agriculture that drains aquifers dry. I'm a US Army veteran with a service-connected disability and three-time cancer survivor concerned about challenges to accessing quality health care in remote rural parts of LD5. And I'm a constituent concerned about the lack of genuine representation by elected officials who don't even bother to attend local town halls. My master's work was in family counseling and family life education. My work experience is in Social Work and Education, which is why I support fully-funded public schools. I also built a successful private counseling practice before moving to Arizona in 2009. And I'm ready to start having a different kind of conversation between representatives and the constituents they are elected to serve by listening to everyone involved and searching for the common ground to problems so that true bi-partisan solutions can be achieved that serve the common good of the people.

My name is Leo Biasiucci and I am your hometown born and raised businessman, not politician. I believe that we must have legislators in office who are going to do everything that they can to keep our freedoms in place. We must allow the people to dictate the life that they want to lead without too much government interference. I want to make sure that I can preserve our constitutional rights, keep our state fiscally responsible, and provide our citizens with the freedoms that they are entitled. I am running because I want to be a voice for the people of rural Arizona and I believe that it is time we send one of our own to the capitol.

After more than 40 years working for a global technology company I see many parallels that will allow my experiences to be applied to supporting the rural communities in and around where I live. Business and Economic Development plans are vital to attracting and retaining living wage jobs and we need to become more competitive and attractive to companies looking to reduce their costs. I want to continue the efforts in renewable energy, water conservation and protecting Native lands. All lives matters and deserve equal pay, free from harassment and retaliation. I support the Affordable Care Act, Planned Parenthood and believe that healthcare should be available to all. My body my choice, opportunities and protection. Funding our schools is paramount. Our educators should be compensated fairly based on skills and capabilities. Schools building and infrastructure should be best in class, embrace and fund higher technology. I want to find ways to reduce the amount of time that our children spend traveling to and from schools. Our rural communities should not allow our children to on buses five hours a day. I will be a loud and active voice for La Paz and Mohave Counties.

For the last ten years, it has been my honor and privilege to serve the people of northern Arizona as a state senator and county supervisor. From the beginning of my service, I committed that forest health, natural resources, education, and jobs would be my priority as a state senator. I'm proud to say that we have delivered on this commitment. On forest health, we have worked closely with the federal government to accelerate environmentally sustainable restoration of our forests, leading to new jobs and tax revenue. On education, I have served as chairman of the Senate Education Committee, passed legislation in support of teachers, children and administrators. Voted for the teacher salary increase and more funding for our schools. On jobs, we have passed balanced budgets and kept taxes low, allowing us to successfully recover from the Great Recession and become one of the most economically vibrant and fastest-growing states in the country. As a native and lifelong resident of northern Arizona, I have a deep love in my heart for the people and communities of this region and look forward to continuing the great work we have started together. I appreciate your support and your vote.

I am a fourth-generation Arizonan, an independent business owner, an educator and proud blue-collar worker. I am the father of two daughters and the husband of a public school teacher. Most of all, I am a hard-working, middle-class American. I support my family by working on the railroad, working cattle, as a substitute teacher, and by running my family-owned hardware store in Holbrook. These experiences have taught me family values, the importance of hard work, and the devastating impact the underfunding of public schools has had on our communities. This is why I am running for office - for the sake of my family and my community. While serving on the Holbrook city council for 13 years, I have seen what bad legislation can do to a city, and how to mend that legislation. I have continued to watch the Legislature let our education and transportation go to the wayside. The lack of funding that continues to come out of our legislature to pay for maintaining and improving our roads is unacceptable and we need someone who will fight for rural Arizona in Phoenix. I want to represent Arizona's Sixth District to repair the systems that are broken in my state.

His many military awards also include several Army Commendation and Achievement Medals, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and the Combat Action Badge. After his retirement in 2016, Walt continued to serve his community by volunteering at local food banks in the sixth district and working for the Department of Veterans Health Affairs where he gained a real insight of the critical issues facing veterans in the White Mountains and the sixth district. Walt is an advocate of the 2nd Amendment, health care issues, and common-sense education funding. Walt is an avid supporter for teacher pay raises, reclaiming federal lands in Arizona, and creating sound forestry management. As a 32-year veteran of the U.S. Army and AZ National Guard, Felicia has a proven commitment to public service. During her military career she worked her way from Private to Colonel and served as a medical evacuation helicopter pilot, an Army nurse, and as a senior medical advisor in Afghanistan. She has a degree in Sustainable Solutions and is dedicated to bringing a solutions-oriented approach to improving the quality of our education system, making healthcare more accessible and affordable for all, creating sustainable economic growth and job opportunities, improving services for veterans and families, and responsible gun ownership. She plans to get this done by encouraging quality educators and school support staff to stay in Arizona by offering competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and smaller class sizes. She will work across the aisle to improve affordable healthcare. She will encourage using military assets in the National Guard to help build and maintain roads and conduct medical training in underserved and rural communities. She will also fight for government incentives to bring reliable, quality jobs in the renewable energy sector to Arizona. She is prepared to stay focused on solutions to get results that serve all Arizonans.

I am the current Mayor of Holbrook, and a third-generation Arizonan from McNary, Arizona. I am running to be the representative for Legislative District 6 to create a prosperous future for generations to come. After years of the status quo, I am committed to fighting for rural and northern Arizona at the legislature in Phoenix. Economic development is how we are going to bring good paying jobs, and a world-class public education system, to northern Arizona. I have lived a life of public service. I spent over 33 years working in the power industry where I learned and worked many positions and assignments, including safety officer, ensuring those around me were working in a safe environment. I trained firefighters in the safety of fire behavior and power plant mechanics in fundamentals of the trade. I have been a member of several unions and will always fight for workers' rights. I am running to be the voice that the State leaders have forgotten. A voice for the struggling young families trying to make ends meet. I fight for the people struggling to find a job with benefits and a fair wage. I will build a stronger Arizona for all.

"Arizona with the Mealer Initiative 2018: Our own high grade, top dollar Arizona Meat & Agriculture Department where we raise, label and market Arizona food products for sale throughout the country and world. Further; Arizona has the perfect environment for Industrial Hemp, kenaf and other plants to make us the world's largest bio-medical research, textile and alternate high grade, high fiber multi-product producer. We create an Arizona Entertainment Industry and give the most expansive industry in the world a place to call home, produce films and pay great wages and Arizona taxes. Arizona can become the country's leader in Aerospace and Motorsports and all we need to do is open the door and show them the way. We once had plans to build the world's largest motorsports arena right here in Arizona backed with a huge amusement park... The opportunity is still available. Wrap this up with the "Mealer Initiative 2018" and JL's plans to allow private business growth through private investment where businesses not only are created and grow with a financial parachute, but an entirely new tier of economy where small time investors make huge profits on a quarterly basis via these investments. "As we seek to continually better our society, the role of rural Arizona becomes more and more critical all the time. With that role, comes the need to foster a better understanding of the role rural Arizona plays in our states vitality and economic base, renewable energy and natural resource sectors, watershed management, forest stewardship and wildlife/wildlife habitat. All of these factors, along with a clear understanding of these sectors and impacts, are what fostered my decision to run for AZ House of Representatives, LD-7. With my years of background experience in the areas of natural resource utilization, veterans affairs issues, my experience as an Apache County Supervisor, and my strong grasp on the issues effected by varying jurisdictions, I can work for the betterment of the citizens of LD-7 and the citizens of Arizona. We must strive for an environment in Arizona that supports a strong economy, economic freedom and vitality for our counties, cities and citizens, quality education for all students, personal freedom and economic security, and a debt-free future for Arizona. As a veteran I know that we can, and need to, do more for our veterans to insure a proper level of healthcare and transitional services."

As a fourth-generation Arizonan, it hurts to see the state I love at the bottom in education, at the top for healthcare costs and as fodder for late night television. For the past three decades, the GOP-led state leadership has systematically chipped away at the systems protecting our communities, families, seniors, and children, while simultaneously cutting corporate taxes and dismantling civil liberties. Not only does this hurt our most vulnerable and damage our democracy, it is also fiscally irresponsible. We believe in something better. It is time the working-class families and vulnerable communities, who experience the day-to-day squeeze and negative effects of our current political priorities, have a seat at the table. It's time for everyday citizens to take back our political voice. As your Senator, I will work to improve your quality of life by prioritizing education, improving healthcare options, protecting Medicaid and KidsCare, investing in economic growth and infrastructure, and securing our civil liberties. These foundational issues are requisite for a strong middle class, which creates a thriving economy, which leads to a prosperous state, the kind of state making headlines for all the right reasons. Together, we can be the something better.

I practiced medicine for 30 years as a Physician Assistant in emergency rooms, clinics, OB/Gyn practices and rural hospitals. My years of experience living and working in small towns prepared me well to understand the unique needs of a growing rural district. As a national PA leader, community activist and board member, I understand how to collaborate and work with diverse groups to get the job done. I will fight for you by protecting the welfare of families, expanding access to healthcare, improving our infrastructure and work to fully restore public education funding. I believe in equality, fairness and equal pay. I will work to expand vocational and community college education, preparing our students for their future. I am dedicated to protecting the environment and working hard for you on tough issues like water and transportation. I have decades of experience in communities developing programs for pregnant teens, women at risk for domestic violence and homelessness and substance abuse. It has been my privilege to represent you in the Arizona State Legislature. I have lived in Arizona my entire life and have operated a farm and small business for many years. My wife is an educator. My son was born and raised here; the grandchildren live here too. In meetings with thousands of ordinary people in our district, they have told me about their concerns and I take them very seriously. Three issues have repeated come up - education, jobs, and public safety. I have made working on these issues my number one priority at the legislature. I will continue to work to make our communities safe through adequate police and fire protection, continue my efforts to improve educational opportunities for all and to get better teacher pay and more resources into the class room. I have received a lot of recognition for playing an important role in putting policies in place that attract jobs to rural Arizona. I will continue to work for policies that will create more and better jobs. You have my word that l will always put you and your family first in the State Legislature. I would be honored to receive your vote.

David Cook

I'm in my first term in office and when I ran I promised to be a strong voice for rural Arizona. I have kept that promise. Arizona has a balanced budget, I was part of the core group that dramatically increased school funding and teacher pay, and I have been working hard to increase the transportation dollars we need to get our roads fixed. I have also led on water issues, because those of us who work the land know how critical it is to our economy and livelihood. I'm actually the only rancher in the legislature, so I'm called on to be involved in a lot of issues that deal with the ranching, agriculture, and farming communities in our state. As promised, I have a pro-Constitution, pro-family values, and pro-taxpayer voting record because I know that preserving and expanding freedom is my most solemn responsibility. There are plenty of politicians down at the State Capitol, too many if you ask me. I ask for your vote so that we can ensure that regular folks like us have a voice and a champion there. On behalf of my wife and kids, thank you for your support and your continued trust!

I am fighting for the forgotten folks for whom nobody is fighting. Sadly, the needs of working-class men, women and families are not being addressed, while the rich and well-connected get an Arizona tailored to their wants. Being from Arizona's low/middle-income communities, it feels like nobody is looking out for us. Our current representation doesn't reflect us, nor does it want to. I will take the knowledge and leadership skills gained during my time as a Marine and as a board member of Latino Familia Inititave and the Casa Grande Police Advisory Board, and apply it at the state level. I will fight for a fully-funded public education system so the future of Arizona's children is secured and relieve the burden of rising healthcare costs. I will fight for a living wage that gives working families the disposable income to spend at our local businesses and fuel economic growth. It is time to put a working-class man to work at the Arizona State House!

I believe government has the responsibility to create an environment which empowers people to succeed. And I want to be a part of that. I've spent the last 35 years in sales, marketing, and running small businesses that I've created, including the Globe-Miami Times, a community-based newspaper founded in 2006. These experiences have taught me the value of job creation and growth. I've been actively involved in community issues and economic development for 12 years. I served as a board member of the United Fund of Globe-Miami during 2013-2018. In 2011, I helped lead a successful grassroots effort to stop a private prison from locating in Globe. As a cancer survivor who went five years without health insurance before the ACA eliminated preexisting conditions, I understand the critical nature of healthcare. I am also largely influenced by the legacy of my mother, who was a strong women's rights champion and a resourceful single mother. I will work hard to see that we're providing robust public education, affordable healthcare, strong protections for water and environment, and an improved infrastructure. These are key to a sustainable future which will provide the jobs and quality of life for all Arizonans.

This election is a critical for rural Arizona. Each voter must ask themselves: "Who will best represent me in the state legislature?" T.J. Shope has a distinguished record of standing up for the people he represents. T.J. Shope knows education very well as a nearly 10-year local school board member, so he fought for AND DELIVERED increased teacher pay and pay increases for the support staff who make the schools run while the teachers teach! T.J. Shope strongly believes that rural communities must have healthcare that is affordable and available, so he has fought to keep rural hospitals open. T.J. Shope also fought for policies that helped bring desperately needed jobs to our area and he has been in the forefront of making certain that our schools have more funding for education. For many years T.J. Shope has been a leading advocate for safe neighborhoods and has worked to provide law enforcement with the tools and the funding they need to get the job done. Your vote to reelect T.J. Shope will ensure that we keep an honest leader who is a real friend of the people and unafraid to fight for you! More information available at www.RealLeadershipAZ.com.

As a two-term Arizona State Legislator in the minority party, Victoria Steele got things done. Two of eight bills passed by Democratic Party legislators during her second term were Victoria's. Now, she is running for the Arizona Senate on the Five "Es." Education, Economy, Environment, Equality, and Eliminating Gun Violence. EDUCATION: Victoria will work to fully fund public education so teachers receive the salary and the resources they need to prepare our children for success. ECONOMY: Families deserve fair pay and a fighting chance to succeed. Victoria is a staunch defender of worker's rights, equal pay, and small business owners. ENVIRONMENT: Victoria leads the way on: solar, water, and climate change. EQUALITY: Republicans have declared all-out assault against women, people of color and other populations. Victoria stands strong in the fight for human dignity and equality. ELIMINATE GUN VIOLENCE: Our children have Active Shooter Drills in school. Victoria will work to change gun policies and end this public health epidemic. EXPERIENCE is Victoria's 6th "E." She is a dependable voice for those who don't have a voice. She has a reputation of reaching across the aisle to pass legislation that improves life for all Arizonans.

I have had the honor to serve as State Representative for LD 9 since 2015. I am also a physician, surgeon and professor of surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, right here in Tucson. As a legislator I believe it is the state's responsibility to ensure the core values of equality, opportunity (including equality of opportunity), and safety are reflected in its actions. During my tenure at the legislature I have worked to support appropriate funding for Arizona public schools. I will continue to make appropriate funding and support for our public schools a priority if re-elected in 2018. I also stand for a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions, responsible gun safety legislation, access to quality healthcare, the ability of cities and towns to self-govern without undue preemption from the state, the protection of our environment and natural resources, ensuring that exercising the right to vote is not restricted, and supporting infrastructure in Arizona (roads/highways/railways, technology growth, water conservation, as well as K-12 education and our Universities). I believe that by supporting and growing Arizona infrastructure small businesses will prosper and corporations will expand in Arizona creating job growth and a robust economy.

I'm Ana Henderson and I am running to represent all of District 9 at the state level. We pay taxes for our voice to be heard, and for protection of our individual right to choose our own path to personal happiness and economic freedom. It is not acceptable that our current elected officials continue to ignore the people in District 9 in favor of promoting their counterproductive agenda. We must fund public safety, education and infrastructure, yet these items are lacking in improvement, while our cost-of-living continues to rise. While the reports of improvement and opportunity increases for many in the rest of the state, Tucson falls behind. Our voice is missing at the table. People and businesses want to visit our area, but they don't want to move to an area in decline with rising taxes. Under our current "one party rule," our tax dollars received from the state level will continue to finance socialist progression while families are broken apart by debt and limited job opportunity. Let's fix this together! VOTE HENDERSON!

His bipartisan solutions will improve Arizona schools, increase literacy through early education, retain young professionals when they graduate from university, expand workforce development programs, and boost reinvestment in Tucson to reduce poverty. His work experience overlaps both the private and non-profit sector by promoting human services, economic development programs, and shaping policies that make life better. He advocates for legislation that shapes healthy children and stabilizes families. Since winning a prestigious community service award in high school, JP has dedicated his life's work to public service. From incubating young minds through a mentorship program that teaches 11-16 year old students how to start their own business, to riding across the country by bicycle to raise money and awareness for people with disabilities; JP brings a deep commitment to improve the quality of life for those in Southern Arizona.

Pamela Powers Hannley
State Representative - District 9

When I first ran for the House in 2016, I promised to be the voice of the people in the Arizona Legislature. I believe that government should fund the People's To-Do List: education, infrastructure, healthcare, and security"”and not the corporate wish list. If we want high-quality public education and good-paying jobs, we must invest in education and stop giving taxes away. In the Legislature, I used my voice, my votes, my amendments, and my bills to fight for the rights and wellbeing of families, patients, students, teachers, workers, women, voters, and the underserved. I played a major role in negotiating and passing the Arizona Opioid Epidemic Act and in expanding access to affordable dental care through dental therapy. I pushed for equal pay for equal work and passage of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). I fought special interest legislation to weaken workers' compensation laws; to enable risky state pension investments; to create English-only contracts; to deregulate financial products; to jeopardize our water supply; to approve the use of untested technologies; and to create new tax giveaways. I am a Progressive Democrat and Clean Elections candidate. Please support my re-election to the Arizona House to serve LD9.

It is a great privilege to serve in the state legislature. During my tenure, I have tried to be a voice for the children of Arizona. Working across the aisle, in concert with advocates, families, educators, behavioral health and medical professionals it has been a rewarding and cumulative effort improving the lives of our youngest citizens. Having consistently earned the respect and support of my senate colleagues of both parties as well as the business, healthcare, education, environmental and faith based communities; I look forward to finishing my elective political career working on issues of perennial importance. Those are: finding sustainable resources for educators and the schools they teach in; maintaining and building an infrastructure that attracts new business while facilitating the growth of businesses that have already invested in our state; ensuring quality and accountability of our social service system; reforming our counter-productive sentencing laws and protecting our environment throughout our inevitable growth. The work of the legislature is never completed. If fortunate enough to return for a final term, I will keep my focus on the children of the present day and the millions who will follow. Thank you for your support these many years.

Domingo DeGrazia
State Representative - District 10

http://www.degraziaforarizona.com
I'm Domingo DeGrazia and I'm running for AZ State House in Legislative district 10. My dad was the artist Ted DeGrazia and my mom is Carol Locust, a former special education teacher. I spend my days defending Arizonans from the overreach of our state government in CPS/foster care cases. In short, I help people when they need help. When someone has an addiction or mental health concern and they don't know how to get the resources they need or there aren't enough resources, my job is to help those people. And that's one of the key reasons I'm running. Our state has chosen to not help those that need it most. Our state legislature has failed our children, failed our families and failed our state. I've spent the last 12 years practicing the law, helping people where I could, but real changes must come at the legislative level. Child safety, health care, education, these are the issues that define what Arizonans want for the future of our children. I've spent a large portion of my life fighting for Arizona's families, I'm eager for the next step on that path and it's time for a DeGrazia in the legislature.

I am running for re-election to continue to fight to make Arizona a better place to live, work, raise a family and retire. Outside the legislature, I am a law professor and the proud mother of a TUSD student. I'm a mom in lawyer's heels. Together with #RedforEd teachers, staff and students, I stood strong for increased education funding and for closing gun purchase background check loopholes to keep our communities safe from gun violence. My background as an attorney proved invaluable, from passing a House amendment to appropriate money for classroom supplies, to obtaining legislation that will provide valuable information to reduce Arizona's 4th-highest-in-the-nation incarceration rate. I sponsored legislation to fund early childhood education and 9th grade JTED, protect our environment and promote clean energy. I championed legislation to stop a budget measure to raise TUSD residents' property taxes. Whether it is an EPA weakening the laws that protect the health of our children and elderly or an Attorney General separating immigrant children from their parents, Washington has lost its moral authority to lead. I am asking for your vote so we can build on our momentum to make Arizona a national leader in education, economy and the environment.

I'm an Air Force veteran, STEM professional and mom of three. I understand the necessity of working across the aisle to get things done, so we can create a healthy Arizona for future generations. This is how I will serve you in our state legislature: Education: I'll continue the fight to bring funding back to pre-recession levels or higher, so our teachers and classrooms have the pay and resources they need to provide Arizona's children a 21st century education. Healthcare: Medical debt is the #1 reason that Americans file bankruptcy. I will fight to ensure that all Arizonans have access to qualify, affordable healthcare, regardless of what the federal government does/does not do. Guns: I'm a veteran and gun-owning democrat, and therefore, I understand the importance of gun safety. I will fight for implementing long-overdue, common-sense gun reforms to keep our children and families safe. Renewable Energy Economy: Clean energy is the future of our planet and our economy. I will work to grow and attract renewable energy businesses to Arizona, to increase jobs now and lay the groundwork for future generations. Thank you, and I hope to see you around LD10!

During my 26 years as a U.S. Naval Officer, I learned to make crucial decisions when they were needed most. As a former Naval Attache and Diplomat, I was the voice bringing opposing sides together. I will apply my experiences and international relations skills to serve Arizona well in the state legislature. As an adjunct professor teaching Political Science, I saw public education create futures. And as a mom who's raised two children, I am concerned about the future of today's children in Arizona. These are critical times where our shared values have never been under attack the way they are now. I believe everyone deserves an economy with good paying jobs that allows everyone to raise their family and to live in dignity; that we deserve a state legislature that acts as a trustee not a broker of our finite natural resources; and that all Arizonans deserve full and equal rights. I will work tirelessly against the privatization of Medicare because healthcare is a right, not a gamble to be left to chance in the stock market. I vow to help ensure that our votes, our values, and our voices will continue to matter as our voice in Phoenix.

Face the facts: Arizona's government is controlled by lobbyists and not the voters! Over the past decade, the GOP has dominated every aspect of government. During that time their every effort has been directed by deep pocket lobbyists. Their actions speak for themselves: They've brought public education to the brink of crises. They've given us an economy rated worst among the 9 western states. They're working to put Arizona's 30-year record of water conservation at risk. They've bullied cities across the state that dare to practice democracy. I propose a new and bold direction for Arizona. My plan prioritizes Arizona's families and small businesses. We can fully fund public education using commonsense fiscal policies. Investing in education and innovative industries will energize our economy. Environmental protection of public lands, clean air and water along with renewable energy can't be left to profit seekers. Ethical government is possible only with the election of people of integrity. Arizona can be a leader but first we need new leadership. I'm a proven leader and Clean Elections Candidate who will make Arizona's families my top priority! Visit my website: Atchue4AZSenate.com

As a 20 year resident of Arizona, REALTOR, and 13 year resident of Oro Valley, I here from both established and new constituents every day. From established constituents I hear their desire for well paying jobs, a robust economy and a debt-free state government. From the new residents, who are most often tax refugees from other states, I hear of their desire to exercise personal freedom and the pursuit of quality education. Many have come here because of Arizona's commitment to protecting parental authority over where to educate their children, and they love the options that are offered. With our growing State Gross Domestic Product constituents are encouraged that they will regain what was lost over the last 8-years. My voting record shows a consistent pattern of increasing funding for K-12 education, 4-years of Yea, never a Nay. Paying down the unfunded pension liabilities that have built up is a must, constant attention to shrinking the size and expense of government keeps more money in taxpayers pockets, and finally we must restore funding to deferred maintenance of our infrastructure. Innovative ideas for long distance mass transit, road and bridge maintenance while protecting sensitive habitat is a major priority.

I can understand how most of you who read this have never heard of me. I am not a politician; I am a retired carpenter. Some say this is negative for me - I believe it's just the opposite. You probably won't hear a lot about me during the campaign. I am not a media seeker; I will be out talking to people about their concerns first hand. Rather than positing with the press about my future actions, I will actually take part in the community, addressing problems that need to be solved. This is the way I see District Representative working. When an issue comes up, I take into account what my constituents want rather than my own beliefs. I am the conduit between the state government and the people in my district. What I am asking of voters is to pick the candidate who is most like them, an average citizen. I am simply asking to be a true representative of the residents of the 11th district. Please give me the opportunity to bring the important issues of all residents in the district to the state's attention on your behalf.

After retiring as a Colonel from the Air Force and working in the private sector, I planted roots in Arizona to care for my mother. During my 40 year history with Arizona, I've seen our state move toward profit over people. We need lawmakers who invest our tax dollars in proven economic drivers; top-notch public education, modern infrastructure, and thriving communities. I'm running for the House in LD 11 because it's time to exercise true fiscal responsibility, give taxpayers what they are paying for, and put people first again. I want to work with counties and towns to build a business and agricultural environment that maximizes potential for success while protecting the natural beauty that draws people here from all over the world. We must also secure our personal liberties through easier access to voting and higher ethical standards in government. I belong to several chambers of commerce, the American Legion, the NAACP, and the Farm Bureau. I taught 7th grade math, commanded twice, and served at NATO. I understand different perspectives and how to bridge divides to get things done. I am a proven leader and ready to serve again. Thank you for your vote. @LyonforAZ/LyonforAZ.com

I ask for your vote for state representative of legislative district 11. I have dedicated the last 16 years to educating over 3,000 students. As a teacher, I have witnessed the struggle students, parents, and educators face with an under funded education budget. It was evident in the actions of the 53rd legislature that education would not be a priority, nor would there be any action to restore pre-2008 revenue to Arizona. My awakening and grassroots campaign stems from these oversights in legislation. I am not a career politician, I am an educator that will bring a fresh perspective to the Arizona Legislature. I stand for fully funding education, building a stronger economy in Arizona, and clean energy. I ask for your vote to continue to work for children and restore Arizona's economy.

I am running for the State Senate because I believe Arizona is at a crossroads. We can continue the status quo of corporate handouts, or we can reclaim our state government for all Arizonans. Being ranked in the bottom five of education funding is a travesty. My daughters attended public schools, and I want my granddaughters and all children to have access to excellent public schools. It is vital that we provide sustainable funding for public education and ensure that private schools receiving public funds are transparent and held accountable. I support renewable energy and will protect clean air and water for future generations. I will work to make Arizona the solar capital of the nation and will encourage investment in sustainable infrastructure. Small businesses are vital to our economy. I will work to support and protect the interests of small business owners. Through community engagement, I will seek practical solutions and support policy to ensure the well-being of all Arizonans. Having worked under both Governors Napolitano (D) and Brewer (R) and in the State Senate, I have the insight and knowledge to make effective change. I humbly ask for your vote.

Our individual liberties come from God, not from government. Government was instituted to protect those God-given freedoms. This is my firmly held belief. During my tenure in the legislature I have measured my support of legislation, first and foremost, through that lens and ask myself, "is this the proper role of government?" My deeply held conservative values have made me a leading advocate for limited government, individual liberties, sound fiscal policy, private property rights, Second Amendment rights, quality education, defending families and protecting the unborn. I'm consistently ranked a top champion of the taxpayer and defender of the Constitution. I have successfully sponsored legislation to fight human trafficking, strengthen victim's rights, and prohibit state agencies from law making. I am humbled to have successfully sponsored "Jacob's Law" which empowers foster families to heal abused children. I have the endorsement of such statesmen as Congressman Andy Biggs, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery, to name a few. On August 28th, I humbly ask that you vote for the experienced and conservative legislative team of Farnsworth, Petersen and Grantham.

My name is Joe Bisaccia and I am a public school teacher at Cooley Middle School. I teach applied technology and robotics, which, like all STEM fields, are the fastest growing areas in education and high-paying jobs. The future of our state is in education and technology. For far too long our leaders have failed to adequately invest in these fields. It's time to change that. Promises to restore school funding have been broken by our elected officials. To attract high paying jobs, Arizona must invest in education and infrastructure. We can do so without raising taxes on middle class Arizonans. We owe it to our kids to ensure our schools are well funded and our teachers are well paid. I see our community filled with high paying jobs attracted to Gilbert and Queen Creek for the above reasons. I envision a future where all Arizonans have a chance to succeed. I am endorsed by Run for Something and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. As a Clean Elections candidate, I will represent you and not powerful out-of-state special interests. I humbly ask for your support and your vote. Thank you.

I've only served one term in the State House but I'm pleased to report that your team of Grantham, Warren Petersen and Eddie Farnsworth is Arizona's most effective and conservative team with awards from pro-taxpayer, pro-family groups and proven voting records on important issues like education funding, life, liberty, border security, school choice, taxes, spending, and protecting the family. I'm a 3rd-generation Arizonan who currently holds the rank of Major and is serving as an Aircraft Commander and Instructor Pilot in the Arizona Air National Guard. I am also a businessman and entrepreneur who understands the challenges being faced by all of our business owners and small business employees. Among our many endorsements are Congressman Andy Biggs, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery and former Supervisor Tom Freestone along with those mentioned in Warren Petersen's statement. Our opponents campaign as conservatives but true Republicans know better. When someone says "Elect me and I'll go vote like Travis Grantham and Warren Petersen" you have to wonder why they're even running. Arizona is a national leader in job growth, K-12 improvements, school choice, and regulatory reform. Vote for the Grantham, Petersen and Farnsworth team and we'll keep it that way. Thank you!

"I have 20+ years in experience as an engineer, manager and business owner. My strengths lie in my beliefs, passion, and tenacity. I have fought and won against a corrupt water utility. I continue to fight water issues, and I will do the same for the people of Arizona. People deserve to be able to address issues locally and fairly. "Nick's moral compass is set all the way to high. He can't stand to see people abusing power, regardless of what position they hold. Whether it's a bully on a playground, domestic abuser, a corporation, or a government official - abuse is abuse. He strongly believes that government officials are here to serve the people, and not the other way around. After realizing how difficult it is to get a government official to fight with you, not to mention for you, he realized he had two choices: 1. do nothing, 2. be the change he wants to see. Nick is not a politician. He is well aware of the fact that he has a lot to learn. He has his ideals, but he is also very eager to listen to reason..." my wife, Katerina Myers"

Thank you for your trust, support, and opportunity to serve you. I ran for office as a business owner, husband, father, and concerned citizen, promising to limit government and protect our Constitutional rights. I have kept my promises. I'm a top-ranked conservative in the Legislature and have been awarded Small Business Legislator of the Year, Hero of the Taxpayer, #1 for Constitutional Voting, Free Market Champion, Top Regulatory Reformer, Guardian of Small Business, A rated by the NRA, recognized for defending life, religious freedom, and Friend of the Family. I worked hard to pass a structurally balanced budget, improve our credit rating, dramatically boost K-12 funding and teacher pay. I passed legislation to eliminate politicians' pensions and to shrink government. Limiting government and protecting taxpayers means saying "No" to special interests who want to spend your money and take away your rights. My conservative votes and positions have earned me a primary challenger who is supported by democrats. I've been endorsed by conservatives like Att. Gen. Mark Brnovich, County Attorney Bill Montgomery, fmr Treasurer Jeff DeWitt, Congressman Andy Biggs, Reps. Farnsworth, Grantham and many more (visit www.votewarrenpetersen.com for a full list). BRIDGING THE GAPS TOGETHER Lynsey Robinson was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She believes that immigrants are part of the fabric of America. Specifically, Haiti has a long history with the U.S., dating back to the Revolutionary War where Haiti fought alongside America to help it gain independence from Great Britain. Lynsey came to America at the age of eight and grew up in New York. As a former DREAMer, teacher and attorney she believes that education is essential for our children to fulfill their full potential and for America to remain competitive in the world. Lynsey believes that public schools are underfunded and teachers are underpaid. She believes charter schools have a place in our communities, but transparency and accountability are essential to protect our children and the community. Lynsey believes that if Arizona families are to succeed, our public schools must receive appropriate funding to deal with the demands of our growing demographics. She supports the second amendment, but supports gun reform as a necessity for safe public education. As the wife of an entrepreneur, Lynsey supports the growth of small and local businesses. She understands that a strong, robust business community supports families and keeps our district thriving.

I am running to expose AZ's laws for charter schools. A charter school is a public school, privately run. A regular public school is publicly run. AZ has more charter schools per student than any other state. There are no laws in place that restrict a new charter school from being built right next to an A+ rated school. Public schools, run privately have next to no accountability for state money. Competitive bidding is not required. One charter school, operating in AZ, a" non profit", paid a management firm 10 million DOLLARS. That same school received 73 million DOLLARS from the state, 13 million DOLLARS from the parents of their students and they are 32 million DOLLARS in the RED. Yet they, are using AZ real estate for collateral to borrow more money to finance schools in other states. Since 2010 - 87 charter schools have closed. Tax payers provide the $ to build them, tax payers provide the $ to maintain them and when sold the owner gets the $.This is currently legal, but is not moral. When (if) elected this is the first thing I will work on.

We need leaders we can trust. Leaders who put the needs of the voters above their own interests. We've got real issues in this state. We deserve someone with the courage to face them head-on. Public school funding and educator pay is just one example. But those issues aren't going to be addressed as long as out-of-state special interests and corporate lobbyists have more influence than the voters do. I intend to take on those issues, starting with corruption and conflict of interest in our state government, and make Arizona politics accountable to voters again. I grew up in Buckeye. Four generations of my family live here in Arizona. This is my home and I want it to be a place that allows all Arizonans to feel welcome, to prosper and succeed. For 21 years, I served my country in the Air Force. I've served in my community since then. I hope to serve you. Whether it's jobs and wages, access to healthcare, extreme drought, or the desperate state of public education, these issues affect me and my family, just like yours. It's personal. I'm asking for your vote so we can build a better Arizona together.

It's my honor to serve as your State Senator. While everyone campaigns as a conservative, I can offer my actual conservative record, which is pro-taxpayer, pro-family, pro-life, and pro-Constitution. My focus continues to be limiting the size of our government while ensuring that what it must do, it does as well as possible. My family owns and operates a dairy farm in Buckeye and our 4thgeneration Arizona roots run deep in the soil. I'm grateful for the support of so many in our district, both in Maricopa and Yuma County, and I'm hard at work on the various concerns we have, from water to transportation to classroom funding to school safety to lower taxes to border security to protecting our 2nd Amendment rights. I'm going to keep working on all of it. God has truly blessed our country and our state but it is our responsibility to protect them both. Arizona is a national leader in job growth, school choice, educational improvement, and regulatory freedom. We know there are those who want to undo the good we've done, so we must remain vigilant and steadfast to protect it. I ask for your vote so I can continue doing this important work.

I'm a plainspoken, red white and blue loving, conservative Republican. I ran a long-shot race and upset a Democrat incumbent to win this seat by promising to restore our liberties, protect the taxpayers, focus on our economy, and do what is right for our families. As Chairman of the Appropriations Committee I've balanced our budget, restored education and transportation dollars, fought for MCAS, YPG and Luke AFB, and advocated for our rural agricultural interests, including our critical water rights. I've received multiple Champion of the Taxpayer and Friend of the Family awards and voted against Arizona's ObamaCare Expansion. As appropriations chairman I began to investigate procurement irregularities and my recent troubles are result of that I will continue to investigate that corruption if you send me back. I ask for your vote so I can continue to do what is right for our district. Thank you!

I am running for State Representative because Arizona is at a crossroads. There is a strong push from Democrats, and some Republicans, to retry the same tax-and-spend approach that created Arizona's fiscal disaster a decade ago. We need strong, conservative leaders to fight back. I am a US Army combat veteran and a conservative. I am pro-life and strongly support the Second Amendment. I am committed to improving our education system through reform, and without raising taxes. Since I was honorably discharged from the Army, I have worked to get conservatives elected to local, state, and federal office. I have been endorsed by many conservative leaders from across the state and in our district. Our district is the proud home to Luke AFB, MCAS Yuma, and the Yuma Army Proving Grounds. I will tirelessly work with these communities and the federal government to ensure these great installations remain a major piece of America's military infrastructure. I grew up in LD-13 and I am raising my family here. I am heavily invested in Arizona's future and look forward to serving my community again, this time at the state capitol. I humbly ask for your vote in the August 28th Republican primary.

My parents were immigrant refugees who came to the U.S.A. after WWII. They had virtually nothing when they came. We were poor. I was born in Chicago. My older brother and I attended public schools. We both graduated from University Illinois at Chicago. Prior to college, he served with the Marine Corps in Vietnam. After college I enlisted in the Navy as an E-3 and 22 years later retired as a commander. I went on to serve 12 more years as an Arizona high school science teacher in Maricopa County. My brother retired from banking as a vice president in trust management. I know what it is like to be an immigrant. Attitudes have not changed since I was a boy. Two immigrant brothers with public educations, serving our country, retiring successfully"”it's the American dream. Don't let that dream die. I will fight to fully support public education, comprehensive immigration reform, sensible gun control measures, and the people's voices over lobbyists, special interests, and dark money. I will bring with me integrity, leadership, and equality every day I serve as I did for 22 years in the Navy and 12 years as an Arizona high school science teacher.

It's time that the government does what it is meant to do - serve YOUR needs, and not the needs of rich corporations and special interest groups. I'm a retired auditor with analytical skills and insight to understand financial statements and budgets. Professional standards obligated us to serve and honor the public interest and trust. Working for the Army over 30 years my customer was the soldier in the foxhole, in the Senate my focus will be district constituents. The Army ethos and values I learned in the Marine Corps have never failed me. I bring those values and business acumen to the district. I'm running because our state government has failed us, our children, grandchildren and their future. Educators energized and incumbents were forced to listen. Vote incumbents out! Incumbents litigate federal overreach but legislate state overreach. Incumbents ban local governments from controlling local issues with the threat of withholding state funding. Arizonans want transparency but incumbents enact "dark money" legislation to hide their donors. We need to i) stop this extreme ideology ii) restore public education, iii) rollback state overreach, and, iv) clean-up the State Capitol. I'm a man of the people and for the people - vote for me.

This is a classic conservative vs liberal contest. As a former State Representative I was named Champion of the Taxpayer, Friend of the Family, earned an A+ from the NRA, turned our state's budget deficit into a surplus, and helped turn Arizona into the #1 pro-life state, #1 pro-2nd Amendment state, and #1 pro-school choice state in the country, all while cutting regulations and growing jobs. As a result of my leadership I was ultimately elected Speaker of the House, giving rural and Southern Arizona real influence, and making myself a target of the liberal media and their fake news. My opponent (Drew John) was a life-long Democrat until he switched to the GOP just one day before he filed to run for State House, and in his one term he voted like a Democrat, supporting liberal bills and raising fees and taxes.  Now, after just two years of liberal voting he wants a promotion to the State Senate? I'm running because conservatives need a strong voice, and I'm willing to tolerate the negative attacks because I know how important the freedoms and people I'm fighting for are. I ask for your vote so we can win this fight together!

I am a US veteran, mother of 3, (two children who are also veterans), as well as the wife of a retired veteran. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, Social Science Comprehensive as well as English as a Second Language. As a local business owner and member of the community, I have grown tired of the career politicians and growth of the federal government at the expense of the people and the individual rights of all. I think it is time for a change. I am a constitutional, fiscal conservative. I want to shorten the grip our government has on our personal liberties and our money. It is time to give the power back to the people. We must start electing Representatives and not politicians.

Legislative District 14 needs a strong voice at the capital for Greater Arizona. I have the leadership skills and experience to continue to be that voice. JOBS and economic stability of our state and local communities is of high priority. I believe in LIMITED GOVERNMENT, LOWER TAXES, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY and the FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM. Important issues include EDUCATION EXCELLENCE, ensuring taxpayer dollars make it to the classroom to help students and teachers improve academic achievement. I believe we have a duty and responsibility to SECURE OUR BORDERS, enforce our laws and protect the citizens of Arizona. Border Security is National Security. I will continue the fight for the PROTECTION OF PROPERTY RIGHTS, WATER RIGHTS and Veterans issues. I am PRO-BUSINESS, PRO-TAXPAYER, PRO-FAMILY and PRO-CONSTITUTION. I am a successful businesswoman. I am a member of the Arizona Cattle Growers, Arizona Farm Bureau and a Life Member of the NRA. As a recipient of Legislator of the Year from the Rural Health Association and other similar awards from the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business) and Arizona March of Dimes, I will continue to WORK FOR YOU. Thank you for your support and your vote.

I am running for Arizona State Representative because I believe that democracy is best served by a vigorous discussion of the issues facing our state government. For too long opposing viewpoints are routinely ignored by our state elected officials. A strong multi-party system helps ensure that those in power are held accountable by the voters. Arizona state government must: Invest in public education Invest in a modern infrastructure Stop tax breaks to special interests Allow local governments to govern Support economic fairness Support diversity and inclusion Protect a women's right to choose Protect the environment Support affordable access to comprehensive healthcare for all If elected, I will work hard as your state representative to be a voice for southeastern Arizona counties of Cochise, Greenlee, Graham and Pima. I pledge to listen to everyone, respecting those that do not agree with me; representing all of you, honesty, effectively and professionally. It is time for new leadership in southeast Arizona.

I advocate that Arizona is only as strong as its weakest link and if our rural communities are weak it leaves our State susceptible to weakness. My platform while running for office, since being elected to office, and remains as I seek re-election to office is stabilizing rural economies to help our towns and counties be healthy, stable, and productive. Key to this is building resources to seek out and encourage local entrepreneurs, attracting others, and vying for light industry to expand and/or move to Southeastern Arizona. Our rural education system is another key component. Our youth and young adults must be equipped with the tools they need to live prosperous and productive lives. By working together, we can help make our rural schools to be among the best in the Nation! I advocate for rural Arizona and our lifestyle and am working for a strong and stable economy. I need and ask for your vote to continue being a voice that brings our rural issues and needs to the Arizona State Legislature. I appreciate your support and thank you for your vote!

It is my honor to be your state representative, and I hope to earn your vote for state senate! I have a track record of working closely with constituents and industry professionals to solve complex state issues. I've worked to streamline government, strengthen the economy, encourage job creation, and improve healthcare and education. As Health Committee Chairwoman, I successfully sponsored healthcare reforms to provide a more cost-effective, patient-focused system, in addition to addressing Arizona's opioid crisis from both the mental health and public safety perspectives. My experience as a former PVUSD teacher and current Clinical Associate Professor at ASU inspired my successful efforts to improve student safety, increase academic accountability and encourage schools to be more innovative, efficient and effective. I championed the appropriation of more money to our public schools and the restoration of funding, which enabled teachers and school staff to receive raises. I support the Second Amendment; I am pro-life and support policies to address illegal immigration and public safety. I am recognized and endorsed by local organizations that promote conservative principles, effective schools, veterans' issues and strong family values. Most importantly, I am a mom, wife and daughter; and I hope to earn you vote!

Kristin Dybvig-Pawelko
State Senator - District 15

I am Kristin Dybvig-Pawelko and I am running for state senate in LD15. I have worked in higher education all of my adult life and have taught at ASU for the past 19 years. I have seen how state funding for higher education has drastically decreased despite the state constitution's mandate for University tuition to be, ‘as nearly free as possible'. I'm incensed that the same thing is happening in our K-12 public education. During the #RedforEd walkouts, I watched our teachers raising their voices in unison, letting our legislature know how their inaction was costing our children. The solutions offered and agreed upon simply do not go far enough. Our schools should be fully funded, safe places for all children to learn. As a wife, mother of three school age children, former PTO president, member of the governing board at my children's school, and a nearly lifelong Arizona resident, I am passionate about equal opportunity and access to a quality education. We must fight for school funding, school safety, and mental health assistance for all of Arizona's residents. As a graduate of Arizona State and Cornell Universities, I've seen the positive impact that education can have on people's lives.

My name is John Allen and I'm running to be your State Representative from LD 15. I'm excited about putting forth an agenda that that reflects the conservative values of our district. I am a low-tax, pro-life, private property rights, conservative that believes government should do the things it must, like foster care and policing, the best we can with the resources available. I have worked hard to craft policy to address many of the pressing issues such as education, foster care, the elderly and the developmentally disabled. People ask me "why would anyone want to be in the Legislature in this state?" I can confidently say that there is no better place to serve than in Arizona right now. We are at a crossroad in the state and our nation. This election is a crucial one, to turn away from a government that wants to equalize outcomes by removing our freedom. Arizonans want their government to equalize access to education, economic opportunity, and good infrastructure, but not one that redistributes our wealth. To win, you must vote for someone willing to fight.

Restraining government is key to a prosperous economy. Burdensome regulations, taxes and unaccountable bureaucracies stifle entrepreneurs, revenues and our basic human freedoms. As your Senator I've resisted government mandates, including Obamacare, and sponsored affordable options and reforms including Health Care Sharing, Direct Primary Care, long-term care insurance, Right-to-Shop and meaningful price transparency. More is needed. Dedicated oversight of government agencies and protecting our constitutional freedoms are just as essential. Two new laws I promoted this session are cases in point - prohibiting judges or DCS from considering blind parents unfit solely on the basis of their disability and undoing the pharmacist ‘gag' order prohibiting them from communicating drug cost and alternatives with customers. I have listened to parents whose untreated mentally ill sons and daughters are repeatedly homeless, hospitalized, jailed or have died - and enacted substantial system reforms. I have stood for the unborn, border security, the second amendment, ended patient brokering and promoted common sense prison reforms proven to reduce recidivism. As our economy flourished, I wholeheartedly supported significant new education funding while requiring system accountability, protecting local control and every child's opportunity to attend the school that best meets their needs. Thank you for your support!

I am a wife, mother, and former prosecutor of politicians. I was raised in LD 15 and was educated in our terrific public school system. I left Arizona in 2003 to attend Notre Dame Law School. During my career, I worked for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, prosecuting unscrupulous politicians who used their position to get rich at the public's expense. Since returning to the district, I've spent my time teaching at Arizona Summit Law School and advocating for better education and maternity care within our state. I have also run a part-time law office focusing on Special Education and Birth Law issues. Last year alone, my firm donated over 500 hours of legal work to children, mothers, and birth workers throughout Arizona. I also donate my time to non-profit boards. As the Secretary of the Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented, I have spent countless hours with our elected officials educating them on the need to fully fund education for all students. Our district needs someone who shares our values of honest government, fully funded education, and accountable representation. We need someone who can bring our district together and is willing to work hard to make it happen.

It's time for change in Arizona. Holding true to our core values, we can secure a better future for our community. Our schools will thrive if we restore the lost decade of funding-update our textbooks, fix our buses, and fill open positions with certified teachers. Tech and vocational skills should be available with affordable college opportunities. Our students"”youths and adults"”need access to the tools to build their own future. Arizona is primed for business development if we improve our infrastructure. Economic growth requires safe transportation with increased capacity, and increased internet speed. Small businesses will prosper with growth incentives and an educated workforce. Our communities and businesses deserve a long-term strategy for groundwater security to protect our future with drought-contingency planning developed with public engagement and not back-room deals. We can also make sure Arizona is Open For Business by updating our laws to protect against discrimination and harassment. Our values define our policies. I will take up the fight to give our children and working families a chance for success and a secure future through a good education, access to quality and affordable healthcare, freedom from discrimination, and a strong economic future.

I'm a father of three, a business owner, and a certified teacher. Both of my parents were educators, and I've seen the public education system at its best. Unfortunately, I've also seen it at its worst here in Arizona. As your state senator, my top priority will be improving Arizona schools through better funding, fair pay for teachers, and a more equitable approach to funding distribution for all expenses. I aim to listen to the concerns of the people from my district and vote in everyone's interest, not necessarily along party lines. There are many local problems in our district that need immediate attention and I intend to bring these issues to the legislature. Arizona has some of the nation's most precious and fragile natural landscapes. We must work to keep these areas clean and free from commercial uses such as oil drilling and other devastating actions. Clean energy is essential in keeping our environment livable for future generations. When elected, I will introduce legislation protecting Arizonans who use clean energy technologies to reduce their footprint. We need to incentivize these technologies now and take advantage of solar and wind energy to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.

I believe the constitution of the United States is an inspired document. Our founders understood the proper role of government. The number one responsibility of government is to protect the rights of the people. We need less government, lower taxes and more personal responsibility. I am pro-life and pro second amendment. Government on all levels needs to be more transparent. We should find areas of waste and fraud in government and eliminate them. I believe in school choice. There is nothing more important than educating our young people. The most important thing we can do for our economy is to reduce regulation. I am a veteran, small businessman, and successful entrepreneur. I know how difficult it is to find a good job, make payroll and provide health insurance. I know the headaches of meeting budgets, the importance of an educated workforce, the problems of illicit drug dependency and the significance of our children's dreams to our society's future. I feel your problems and concerns just as you do. Our people are divided and our leaders seem clueless as to why. District 16 needs a STRONG CONSERVATIVE voice and representation. I support securing our borders knowing that amnesty is not the answer. Arizona must stop spending our limited resources providing health and education benefits to illegal immigrants. Our country is leaning towards socialism and political correctness is killing us. That is not good. Our teachers just received a 20% raise without any accountability for the failing AZ Merit/AIMS test scores Our Colleges are bankrupting our children before they even get into the workforce. Arizona must work smarter and closer with the local communities to promote growth, education and opportunity. I am asking for your vote to be your voice for a more responsible common sense Government. Please, VOTE JOHN FILLMORE Thank you.

Arizona needs another strong conservative voice at our Capitol to defend our values, our families, and our Constitution! We have an open seat and need to elect someone to limit the size of government, boost our economy, continue improving our schools, cut taxes/regulations, and return government to its proper limited role. I'm a strong supporter of our 2nd Amendment rights, I'm pro-life, pro-family, and pro-school choice. I proudly stood with Donald Trump at his first Arizona rally and agree that secure borders means "Build That Wall!" As a Respiratory Therapist I know government creates more far problems in healthcare than it solves. I remain committed to a repeal of ObamaCare and attacking the Opioid Crisis that affects our seniors and our youth. Veterans need to get the respect and top-class healthcare they deserve; I am honored to serve on Congressman Andy Biggs' Veterans Affairs Committee. It's campaign season, so every Republican claims they're fire-breathing conservatives, but we've seen how they get elected and turn into spineless jellyfish. People asked me to run because they know my work in the party and on issues; I have the values AND backbone to do the job. I ask for your vote!

I have been in public service most of my adult life. I held leadership roles in both the USAF and Apache Junction PD. During my 20+ years in Law Enforcement, I was involved in the resolution of many issues; developing the skill sets of listening, asking questions for clarity, and negotiating resolutions. I look at all sides of an issue to decide the best course of action for all concerned. I approach situations with an open mind, researching each issue to determine fact versus emotional response, so that a reasonable and workable solution is found. My ability to negotiate and make sound decisions in hostile environments has served me well through the years as I worked to resolve many difficult and volatile situations. This same negotiation ability, has provided me a strong base for working through police policy amendments and revisions and negotiating pay raises. I have lived my life in service for others. I have served my country in the United States Air Force. I have served the citizens of my city as a police officer. I have represented and still serve my fellow police officers. So I ask - HOW MAY I SERVE YOU?

I have lived in the East Valley all my life and was raised with conservative family values. Those values will guide my path as a legislator. I believe in the sanctity of life and protecting the lives of all citizens, both born and unborn. As a mother of five school-aged children, I am invested in education and school choice in AZ. I believe in our 2nd Amendment rights as a country and the right of our citizens to keep and bear arms and will proudly fight for those rights. I will support the Arizona economy through legislation that encourages a free market, growth, fiscal responsibility, and growing, attracting, and retaining a skilled workforce so that our local and small businesses can continue to thrive. I will work to limit government intrusions on families and businesses. I will fight for border security for our safety and the security of our state. I feel strongly in favor of accountability for EVERY tax dollar spent. I commit to holding open and respectful dialogue with constituents, fellow legislators, local government, and the public. Legislative decisions are responsible for the future of Arizona. Reckless tax cutting every year only pushes the cost of government down to the local level and creates a greater burden on middle and low-income households. If elected I want to work on taxation policies that will ensure sufficient resources are available for our state's public services, infrastructure and public schools. Arizona's investment in the success of every child is vital to our state's economy. We must build and maintain an educated workforce that can step into living-wage jobs created by companies that will expand or relocate to Arizona. As your legislator I want to protect our natural resources including access to our state's rightful share of water and renewable energy. I want to support legislation that will ensure that health care is affordable and available to all Arizonans. I am a retired K-12 educator and community college counselor. I have held leadership positions in multiple community organizations including board chair of the first integrated health organization in Arizona and have first-hand experience in building coalitions. I understand that cooperative relationships across the political aisle are critical in creating common-sense solutions to the challenges that face Arizona.

I'm very humbled that you have allowed me to represent you and I want you to know that I work hard on your behalf. This last term I was elected Majority Whip by my fellow Representatives and was honored to give our district a seat at the leadership table. I continue to vote for balanced budgets and policies to protect and create jobs, strengthen education, increase classroom funding and teacher pay, and find creative funding streams that bolster our economy while cutting taxes. I've protected your 2nd Amendment rights, defended the Constitution, protected the unborn, fought for border security, advocated for veteran's rights, fought Federal overreach, protected family values, cleaned up the Department of Child Safety, and more. I helped lead the effort to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment, I've won the Friend of the Family and Hero of the Taxpayer awards, fought to block ObamaCare, and opposed Common Core in favor of high education standards that come from Arizona parents and teachers. I want a smaller and more responsive government, greater liberty, a fiscally responsible state, a strong economy, respect for the rule of law, and stronger families. If you agree, I ask for your vote. Thank you!

As your State Representative I authored laws that directed more educational dollars into classrooms, created the Address Confidentiality Program for survivors of domestic violence and sexual offenses, helped employees who are owed wages, and promoted veteran-friendly college campuses. I won Guardian of Small Business, Champion of the Taxpayer, and Friend of the Family awards, and many others, and was subsequently honored to be elected Speaker of the House. Little did I know I'd be tasked with shepherding our Legislature through an historic time that included emotional debates over education funding and teacher pay, a high-profile case of sexual harassment, and more. Yet we passed good balanced budgets that reduced tax burdens while increasing school funding and dramatically boosting teacher pay by 20%. We also wrote groundbreaking policies to ensure personal conduct by legislators is held to the high standards the public deserves. With Steve Yarbrough retiring I'm asking for your vote to continue this important work in the State Senate. If elected I will continue to keep an open door, put my constituents first, and use my diverse background that includes husband, professor and small business owner with master's degrees in both business and public administration to deliver for you.

For the better part of the last decade, I have dedicated my life to fighting for issues that truly matter to Arizona families. These include proper and dedicated funding for public schools and state infrastructure, job creation, quality and affordable healthcare, safer communities, greater respect for diversity and equality, expanded civic engagement and voter rights, ethics and campaign finance reforms, and improved well-being for Arizona's most vulnerable citizens. In stark contrast, our current legislative majority has proved to be more consumed with cutting taxes and funding for vital services than proper investment in its citizens, meanwhile serving the demands of narrow special interests. As evidence, look no further than the last legislative session where 75,000 educators and concerned citizens were forced to march on the State Capitol to address woefully inadequate funding for our state's public schools and a critical teacher shortage. This is not how government should work, nor is it representative of quality, concerned leadership. I've chosen to run for the State Senate to sincerely represent the interests of all Legislative District 17 citizens as a true public servant - not as a partisan, political creature of the Arizona State Legislature. I respectfully ask for your vote.

Tired of "campaign conservatives" who sound conservative but vote like liberals once elected? Me too. I'm a PROVEN conservative with a real record of casting tough votes, saying NO to the establishment/special interests, producing balanced budgets, protecting taxpayers, and helping Chandler become the #1 city for new jobs in America! I'm a small-business owner who knows government can help or hinder. It's one of the reasons I ran for City Council. I wanted a local government that was responsive, limited, and effective. Today, Chandler is Arizona's best-run city and I want to take these same conservative values to the Legislature. That means balanced budgets and a strong job-producing economy. Protecting taxpayers and families. Looking after our veterans, our schools, our roads/infrastructure, and our first responders. Protecting our liberties, human life, and school choice. Defending our Constitution, protecting our military bases, and securing our borders. My opponent's been attacking since she started running, but I'm running a positive issue-based campaign. I'm endorsed by County Attorney Bill Montgomery, Steve Yarbrough, JD Mesnard, Jeff Weninger, Mayor Daniels, and others who want a proven conservative in the State House. I am a former teacher and a mother who is passionate about properly funding Arizona's public school system. In fact, one of the key factors influencing my interest in politics is the devastating cuts to our state's public school system over the last decade. In an effort to bring money into the classrooms locally, I served as Co-Chair of the successful Yes for Chandler Students override campaign in 2017 and was a volunteer for the CUSD bond election in 2015. I support full-day kindergarten, funding career and technical programs, and making college affordable. A strong, well-funded school system and a well-prepared workforce will encourage businesses to relocate to Arizona and remain here which will have a positive impact on our economy. I believe there should be transparency in elections, and that corporations or other entities should not be able to influence elections with their secretive contributions. I support equal rights and non-discrimination acts that protect diverse communities. I respectfully ask for your support and your vote.

I have had the privilege of representing District 18 in the state senate these past two years. In that time, I've worked to restore education funding, support our small businesses, and bring some bipartisanship back to the state capitol, and I have the record to prove it. On education, I voted yes earlier this year to give our hard working teachers and educators a raise. This was a good first step, and more work is needed to continue our investment in our schools in future years. As a product of our local public schools, supporting education will always be my number one priority. On supporting the business community, I've voted to reduce regulations, expand access to credit for small business owners, and protect businesses from frivolous lawsuits. I've also worked across the aisle, and voted with both Democrats and Republicans on bills important to our community. I was named the most bipartisan member of the state senate last year, and always put our community first when voting on bills. It's the same approach that I will continue to take me with if I am fortunate enough to continue representing our community for another two year term.

I'm running because I care about you and want to build a better future for all of us! I've spent a lifetime helping people all over the world, including right here in Arizona. Whether it was rescuing an infant from a remote pacific island and rushing her to the United States for open-heart surgery or delivering food to starving people in Somalia, I have dedicated my life to caring for and protecting others. I care about education, and brought the Southwest Airlines Adopt-A-Pilot program to the Kyrene School District, reducing teacher workload. I also personally founded a Dollars for Scholars chapter here locally, reducing the cost of college education for hundreds of public high school students in our community. Others talk about the things they believe in, I do them. I am bilingual and son of an immigrant who watched his mother become a naturalized citizen. Connie and I have two wonderful daughters in public-school-scholar athletes-and we couldn't be prouder parents. Others will tell you what they believe, I can only say: this is who I am. I care about you. Education, healthcare and your safety are my priorities, and I humbly ask for your vote.

As your State Representative, I listen to our community and work collaboratively to solve problems. When parents in our community asked me to help them to prevent youth suicide, I convened a statewide stakeholder group to develop solutions. Chief among those solutions was the addition of a Suicide Prevention Coordinator in AHCCCS, Arizona's mental health agency. By building awareness across the state and respectful relationships in the legislature, we got that done. Further, AHCCCS is elevating the position to report to the Chief Medical Officer, and will continue to work with our group. Today's economy is good, but wages need to be better. In the legislature, I fight against policies that artificially push wages down. As a computer systems analyst, I've worked for large corporations, and I own a small business. I have applied that business experience to remove business regulations that were outdated, while fighting hard for protections for consumers. Fully funding our children's education is the most important issue in this election. Today's children deserve what my children had in school ten years ago. Teachers and all educators need a meaningful raise, but also we need safe buildings, more counselors, and learning materials that prepare students well.

Arizona, our nation, and civilization are jeopardized by the "principles" of the Democrat party. It chagrins me that many fellow Catholics ignore the conditions their church specifies for salvation by supporting and enabling that party's immoral positions. Some of us Republican committeemen, who work to get Republicans elected, wonder what it is all for. We watched in dismay as our party, which came into being over one issue--slavery, funded our generation's humanity-denying holocaust perpetrators--"Planned" "Parenthood"--with a half billion dollars--half their annual revenue. We endure ILLEGAL immigration, federal excursions from constitutional activity that exacerbate mushrooming debt (which projects typically have to be realized with state cooperation) and many other issues, watching Republican controlled legislatures counteract their own purported values. Help me: "* Define and defend all human life. "* Refuse to vote for any bill which has ANYTHING unacceptable in it, whether to get votes in trade or to get whatever is good in the bill. "* Resist law being used to force the public to respect or fund unscientific fantasy, e.g. transgenderism. "* Boycott strike-everything bills. "* Stop unconstitutional, immoral or cost-ineffective federal programs from being implemented in Arizona. "* Support amendment forbidding National Popular Vote.

I have a Master's in Public Administration from ASU and I decided early on that my calling is to work for positive change in the public sector. My focus is on restoring education funding, protecting our civil rights, and honoring our shared values. I pledge to listen and respond to your concerns, and work across the aisle to achieve meaningful progress on issues that matter in our daily lives. All Arizonans deserve to have the same opportunities to succeed that were available to me. I decided to run because our state should be a place of safety, opportunity, and prosperity for all.

It has been my honor and privilege to represent District 18 as your State Representative for the past four years. My career experiences, Masters in Business Administration and Engineering Degrees have greatly prepared me for the challenges of sponsoring productive legislation. The focus of the bills I have sponsored have been on: reducing regulatory business burdens, protecting schools from state overreach, tax reform, and restoration of Career Technical Education District funding. My bills have received bi-partisan support. My community outreach efforts have included: initiating the first "Take Your Teacher to the Legislature Day"; securing a statewide suicide prevention coordinator; fraud squad for technical crimes; planning ADOT open houses during the 202 freeway construction; volunteer teaching in our district schools and the launching the first pre-school pilot program for students with dyslexia. I have enjoyed meeting and listening to constituents while visiting over 40 of our local schools and businesses. Your continued and generous support is greatly appreciated. My husband of 33 years and our three adult children are my biggest fans and greatest accomplishments. While seeking re-election to the AZ House, it is my sincere hope to earn your trust and your vote so that I may continue representing you.

I bring an extensive background of public service to this race. I served in the AZ House of Representatives from 1991 to 1995. I am a CPA and served on the Appropriations Committee. I chaired the Banking & Insurance Committee as well as the Government Operations Committee. After my second term, Gov. Symington appointed me to be the Director of the Residential Utility Consumer Office. In 1999, Senate President Brenda Burns hired me as her Chief of Staff. In 2001, I moved to private practice and in 2006--at the age of 43--fulfilled a lifelong dream by going to ASU Law School. In 2008, I was elected to serve on the Board of the Maricopa Integrated Healthcare System. In 2012, Jan Brewer appointed me to the Arizona Board of Regents. I served 5 years as a Regent--the last year as Chairman. I have worked to protect consumers, increase access to healthcare and support higher education. Those issues will remain my priority if the people of District 18 choose me to be their State Representative.

Farhana Shifa
State Representative - District 18

https://shifaaz.com/
We (my husband and two children) have lived in Chandler for the last 12 years, and I'm a small business owner and educator with a Master's Degree in Mass Communication. Farhana Shifa isn't a name you usually associate with the GOP, but spend time with the Shifas and you'll see why we're Republicans! I was born in Bangladesh and was studying in London when I met my future husband Ralph, a US Navy sailor. Those of us who come (legally!) from somewhere else are especially aware of the miracles that are the United States, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. It's why I fight so hard to protect them and to spread the message of freedom and opportunity. So of course I registered Republican. I've been involved for years and even served as head of the AZGOP's Minority Outreach Programs that took our party's message of opportunity for all throughout Arizona. As your State Representative I will fight for lower taxes, strong schools, less regulation, a pro-jobs environment, secure borders (that means a wall!), the sanctity of life, and balanced budgets. I will also work to inspire other minorities to join our party. I ask for your vote!

As a passionate progressive activist in the Valley, you can often find me in the streets advocating for public education, Medicare for All, a living wage, environmental protection, and racial justice. For too long our State Legislature has served the interests of corporations over everyday Arizonans. This is the year we change that. I love Arizona. As a working-class mom and activist, I'd be honored to represent my district. I want to listen to and work with you to make sure the legislation passed in the State House benefits the people of LD18, not special interests, which is why I'm running as a Clean Elections Candidate and will never accept corporate donations of any kind. Let's do some good together!

Lupe Chavira Contreras
State Senator - District 19
Democratic
I have been honored to represent LD19 since my election to the House in 2012. I'm not a career politician and I've never had a big political machine behind me - I'm a regular guy with a job and a family trying to make ends meet, but my family has lived in the West Valley since my grandparents were young and I understand and love my community. I am the lucky husband of the beautiful Sara Violeta Contreras and proud father of six wonderful children. I first ran for the Legislature because my family was increasingly frustrated with the state of public education. Nationwide, we consistently rank dead last in per pupil spending, and our property tax-based school funding system lends itself to dramatic inequities across school districts. By prioritizing education, we will strengthen our communities and attract quality jobs to our state. In addition to education issues, my top priorities are to encourage economic development, promote access to affordable healthcare - particularly for women and children, and defend the civil rights and equality of all Arizonans. I have been honored to serve, and will continue to work to make Arizona the best state to live, work, and raise a family.

Devin Del Palacio

My name is Devin Del Palacio, I'm an educator, a parent, and a neighbor. As Vice President of the Tolleson Union High School District Governing Board, I am running for the state legislature to see a change within a community that's yours as much as it is mine. I'm not a politician, I'm a community organizer, who will bring to the state legislature a voice that's not only for the community, but from the community. The West Valley has been my home and the place where I chose to raise my family for over 12 years. It has been the community where I built the foundation of my civic work by advocating for children and working families. I began my service within the community by increasing voter diversity by registering over 34,000 new voters into the 2012 election cycle. Throughout my time here, I've focused on changing the life outcomes for the youth within our community by increasing graduation rates, reducing amounts of suspensions, and lowering high school dropout rates among at risk youth. If I make it to the state legislature, I will make it a point to bring an educator's approach and care to the state of Arizona.

Lorenzo Sierra
State Representative - District 19

Elected to Avondale's City Council, Lorenzo Sierra brings trusted leadership and proven results to LD19 residents. His voting record demonstrates his commitment to creating new jobs and bringing businesses to the district; protecting neighborhoods and increasing resources for first responders; and building a vibrant, diverse community by increasing housing starts and improving community resources. Lorenzo's leadership was key in Avondale receiving the national "All American City" award. He also led efforts to bring back the annual Billy Moore Days celebration. The son of a Vietnam veteran and copper miner, Lorenzo comes from humble roots. He came up through the public school system and was the first in his family to graduate from college. As a result, Lorenzo makes education a key initiative, raising funds to deliver 4,000 books to West Valley schools. He also hosts a free monthly gathering for teachers to enhance professional skills. Lorenzo's leadership includes volunteer board service with the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Canyon State Credit Union, Chicanos por la Causa, and other social service and economic development non-profits. He says, "I'm running for the Arizona House of Representatives to deliver on the promise of the American Dream for those in my community."

I'm honored to serve you. When I campaigned as a conservative I meant it. I've received the Guardian of Small Business; Friend of the Family; Hero of the Taxpayer and Champion of the Taxpayer awards, and an "A" rating from the American Conservative Union. My priorities remain: protecting life, protecting taxpayers, job creation, improving education through increased classroom funding and increasing teacher pay, and keeping our children safe from online predators. These last two sessions we've passed real balanced budgets, cut taxes, increased funding for school facilities, dramatically increased teacher pay, rolled back job-killing regulations, and watched as Arizona became one of the top job-producing states in the country. I've supported efforts to secure our border (that means building a wall!), to stop ObamaCare, and to give parents a greater say in the education of their children. I'm proud of endorsements I've received from County Attorney Bill Montgomery, former US Senator Jon Kyl, and groups like Arizona Right to Life, the NRA, the Fraternal Order of Police, and many others, but the endorsement I want the most is yours! Residents of District 20 deserve a State Senator like Doug Ervin, who will listen to their needs, represent them honestly, and fight against the short-sightedness and greed that is unfortunately prevalent in politics. As an experienced accountant, corporate tax auditor, and financial systems architect, he possesses the knowledge necessary to critically analyze budgets and understand their true impact on our state's economy. Moreover, exemplified through helping transform a small local business into an international firm, completing an Ironman triathlon, and tutoring 2nd-grade students in his free time, Doug understands the importance of hard work, perseverance, and patience. Doug's platform consists of three main pillars: restoring public education funding without burdening working families, protecting the environment through conscientious and inclusive legislation, and ensuring that all individuals are treated equally and respectfully, regardless of their identities. Through these goals, he hopes to contribute to tangible improvements in the lives of LD20 residents. The son of a teacher, Doug has called Arizona home since the age of three and enjoys backpacking, reading, and spending time with his family. He is grateful for your time and support. Vote Doug Ervin for State Senator.

I was raised by a single mother for a majority of my childhood. My mom demonstrated what it meant to work hard, and reminded my brothers and me of the importance of attaining an education. As I grew up, I learned my experience was not unique. That every day, there are numerous families in this situation, left in the margins, with their own story to tell. I realized my passion of helping others early on, I had the opportunity to work with families and individuals with disabilities during high school and throughout college. My experience working within the non-profit sector, being able to support families that relied on resources from not only organizations like the one I worked for, but also from the education system and the state. Many of these families were usually in need of more support from the institutions around them but were often not given the tools or resources to become self-supporting. I am tired of empty promises. I want to fight all of those families, like mine, the ones that are still falling through the cracks. The middle class, the working poor, the silenced and oppressed. It's time we take back our humanity.

Dan Anderson

Hi, my name is Dan Anderson and I'm running for the Arizona House of Representatives in District 20. As your representative in LD20, I will work effectively with both the public and all of our elected officials in both city and state governments to address problems throughout our district. I know how to do that. Only through teamwork can we improve the quality of our public schools, our public safety, create a better business environment for our local economy, and ensure our infrastructure is maintained, all of which helps to establish a better quality of life for our families. I'm committed to our community, and I'm committed to see it prosper. If you allow me the opportunity to serve, I will work hard every day to find practical solutions, and I'll always be responsive to you. I'm confident that by working together we'll be able to do great things for our community here in LD20. Thank you, Dan

As a Mom of two teenagers, I can speak for families when it comes to education. We need to concentrate on moving taxpayer dollars away from the administration and into the classroom. Arizona's statewide classroom dollar percentage in FY'17 was 53.7%- the lowest dollar percentage since the Auditor General began monitoring it in FY'01. As a children's advocate one of my main priorities is protecting the sanctity of human life. We should also never place our state budget at the disposal of the federal government. There has never been a federal program that delivered more or cost less than what was promised. I believe it is the height of fiscal irresponsibility to vote for a program if you don't know how much it will cost. Arizona can outcompete every state with lower taxes, modest regulations and a business-friendly environment. I am a firm believer in our constitutional rights like the right to bear arms. I will work with our Congressional delegation to ensure we secure our border and to end illegal immigration. I look forward to serving you and I humbly ask for your vote! Residents of LD-20 deserve a strong advocate. Now is time to elect a representative with leadership experience and a track record of collaboration. We need solutions for problems facing Arizona families; underfunded education, health care, jobs and care for the environment. My role, as a certified public manager, provided me with comprehensive experience in Early Childhood Education, Healthcare, Behavioral Health, and Environmental Justice. I bring this to the table for you and your families. These are not partisan issues they are human issues. Working together we will find common ground; we will find solutions, we will succeed. As your representative, I will evaluate legislation based on three standards. -Is it good for the people in our district? -Are we identifying the core issue? -How will this legislation affect future generations? I am an advocate for teachers, counselors, therapist, and classified support staff. They all make up a safe and supportive educational environment. I will support legislation for fully funded schools. Our future depends on it. Successful people need good jobs, housing in safe communities, access to affordable health care, ability to access support systems when necessary, clean air, clean water, quality food and comprehensive health care. Together we are better.

I will fight for our children, our future citizens, to get the best education possible. Not just YOUR child. All of our children. I will fight for our healthcare, the one thing every single one of us needs, to be reasonably priced and cover you. Not just for YOU, but for all of us. I will fight for racial equality, because those who believe it already exists haven't spoken to someone from another race. Not just for them. But for all of us. I will fight for a livable wage, because it shouldn't take three jobs to raise a child. Not for us. But for them. I will fight for the homeless, because those in need who need help should be able to get it. I will fight for women...our mothers, sisters, daughters and wives' rights. Not for half of us. But for all of us. I will fight for the LGBTQ community, because they are Americans with the same freedoms as anyone else to be whomever they want to be. I will fight for our seniors, because taking care of those who once took care of us is a privilege and reflects our character.

Coming from a family of teachers, I'm a dedicated education advocate who considers students the top priority for Arizona and LD 20. I want to restore the $1.1 billion in cuts we've seen since the Recession. After placing us nearly last in per pupil spending, the Legislature needs to step up for schools. We need designated funding sources, not just promises, in the areas of safety, personnel, facilities, curriculum, and technology, including joint technical and career education (JTED and CTE) so students graduate ready to enter the workforce. There are thousands of small businesses in LD 20 and they are critically important. I want to ensure we have an environment where small businesses can thrive on a level playing field with big corporations, have access to R&D funding to grow and be able to find the employees with the skills they need. Finally, we need a transparent government and elected officials that are held accountable. We can start by ending dark money spending and requiring politicians to report any financial interests when advancing legislation. Let's work together to see that the needs of all Arizonans are met, our businesses thrive, and our government works.

Produce a balanced budget, protect our schools, create an economic environment where jobs can flourish, support law enforcement and first responders to keep our neighborhoods safe, and protect our Constitutional rights. In a nutshell, that's the job I promised I would do if elected and I have kept my promise. Our budget is balanced, we've passed increases in school funding and teacher pay funding, Arizona is a national leader in job growth, crime is down, and Arizona is #1 for 2ndAmendment rights and is a top-ranked state in regulatory and other freedoms. I have been awarded multiple awards like the Liberty Award, Friend of the Family Award and Hero of the Taxpayer Award. I continue to maintain a 100% attendance record, and I never forget who I work for. My wife and I love the West Valley and Arizona, I'm proud to serve as a Reserve Deputy and to do my part to protect and serve the people who live here. I ask for your vote so that I can continue to work hard on your behalf, listen to your opinions, and do my best for Arizona. Thank you!

I served as your State Representative for six years before returning to the private sector, and in that time I championed policies that promoted free enterprise and public safety. I prioritized education and giving teachers and parents more say over the education process. I was awarded Champion of the Taxpayer and Friend of the Family in large part because of my commitment to the taxpayers and families of my district. When we had a vacancy for State Senate earlier this year I was asked to return to public service and I agreed to serve. What I found was there was still more work to be done, so I am again hard at work -- fighting for our schools, our kids, our teachers, our neighborhoods, our small businesses, and you, the taxpayers and families of the district. My wife Lisa and I love the West Valley and it is my honor to continue serving you. I ask for your vote, and please never hesitate to contact me with any questions or if I can be of service to you. Thank you in advance for your support and please visit my website to get involved in the campaign.

Our voices have been unheard, our dreams have been overshadowed and our concerns have been ignored. Government has gotten out of control. They spend without accountability, create new laws but enforce only those they want, and lost sight of their purpose. I'm asking for your support for the Republican Party Nomination for the August 28th Primary. I hold no allegiance to any man, woman or party, I hold it to both the the U.S. and Arizona state constitution. Our constitutions are what hold us together as a state and country, making us equal under the law. Too many times our legislators lose sight of this, fail to understand and uphold our constitutions and violate their oaths of office. It's time we get back to the constitution and the rule of law, not ideology of parties. I am a republican as they are supposed to be the party of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Let's get back to basics.

My name is Dr. Bradley Hughes and here is why I'm running to be one of your state representatives: Corporate influence and wealthy donors have owned our state legislature for decades. They have pushed tax cuts for themselves and cuts to services the rest of us depend on. It's time for someone to actually stand up for you. That's why I don't take donations from Corporations, Political Action Committees, or special interests. My platform is based around making our tax code more fair for working families...ending the funneling of public dollars to private schools...and making healthcare more affordable for all Arizonans. I want to hear from you, so if you have a question please contact me before you vote.

I'm just finishing my first term in the State House and I want you to know I worked hard and kept my promises. I said I'd insist on a real balanced budget and that's what Arizona has. I said I'd work to lower taxes, limit the size of government, and reduce regulations, and that's what I've done. I said I'd make teacher pay a priority and I supported an historic increase that dramatically increases what our teachers will receive. I have a pro-life, pro-family, pro-2ndAmendment, pro-Constitution voting record, and I was awarded Freshman Legislator of the Year by the Arizona Police Association. I also wrote several bills that became law that roll back regulations on small businesses, and one to ensure that local jurisdictions that want to raise taxes, do it in such a manner that every voter is more likely to participate in the Yes/No vote. I'm an Arizona native and joined the Navy out of high school. I've been married over 25 years with four children and seven grand-children. Arizona is a national leader in job growth and our schools are leading the nation in several achievement categories. Let's keep Arizona on the right track!

Arizona families are facing low wages, failing public schools, high rates of incarceration, and a state government that gives tax breaks to the rich. Gilbert Romero and his family have deep Arizona roots, having lived in the West Valley for over three generations. The first in his family to graduate from Arizona State University, and an experienced community organizer and labor activist, he understands the struggles of Arizona's working families. Wendy Garcia founded Indivisible Surprise and helped organize Save Our Schools in the Northwest Valley. She is an experienced radio news director, fearless activist, grass roots leader, and mother. She knows the importance of protecting vulnerable people's rights. Special interest groups corrupt Arizona with too much money. Politicians don't pay attention to everyday people. To restore democracy Wendy will protect voter rights and support publicly funded elections (as a "Clean Elections" candidate). U.S. education statistics rank Arizona's schools in the bottom 10%. To improve student and school achievement, Wendy will fight for more resources and better qualified teachers. Strong public schools protect democracy for "we the people" by teaching citizenship and tolerance. High quality public schools also educate students with effective job skills. Healthcare must be made affordable and accessible to everyone in Arizona. Wendy supports expanding Medicaid type insurance in Arizona with prescription coverage included. Arizona's economy relies upon Cattle, Cotton, Citrus, Copper, and Climate. To increase jobs and grow the Northwest Valley, Wendy advocates for developing Construction, Conservation, and Computer industries. Wendy will serve "by and for the people" of District 22 to restore democracy, improve public schools, expand healthcare coverage, and increase good paying jobs.

It was just a few years ago that you first elected me to the State House. I wanted to serve this great state and look after the taxpayers and families that live here. What a journey it has been. I have been honored to serve as Chairman of the Banking and Insurance Committee, I was elected Majority Whip by my peers, and this year I was asked to step up as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee and guide our state's budget to passage. Still, I remember that my mission is to serve you all and so I continue to focus on improving our economy and attracting jobs, strengthening the family unit, protecting our state's sovereignty, and restoring our Constitutional rights. I advocate for secure borders and I have a 100% pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment record. I have earned both the "Friend of the Family" award and the "Hero of the Taxpayer" award. Knowing that Flakes compromising the Constitution and Freedoms isn't acceptable, most Career Politicians and Bureaucrats do just that, and must be exposed and stopped. Van, though not winning the race, brought issues to the voters exposing the contrast between most politicians' Records vs. Rhetoric. Arizona schools rank among the worst in the country. Strong communities begin with quality schools. As your senator, I will continue the fight for appropriate funding for Arizona's schools and competitive wages for our state's teachers, as well as debt-free college. Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), Arizona's Medicaid program, is a federal healthcare program funded jointly by both federal and state governments. I'll work to expand AHCCCS and to protect KidsCare and ALTCS, (programs for children and those needing long-term care.) Our mass transit system needs expanding to accommodate our ever-growing communities. I'll focus on improving transportation options in our state and introducing municipal broadband to enhance technology accessibility and reduce prices for consumers. I'll work with the Senate on laws that encourage water conservation and building with eco-friendly materials. I'm Brianna Westbrook, and I want to earn your vote. I'll honor my promises as I fight for women's rights and the rights of veterans, Arizonans with disabilities and all members of our society. I am campaigning for the AZ House of Representatives to be a leader in finding long-term, stable funding for our schools so we aren't having a struggle every year. Having been a business owner for 27 years, I understand and will work towards creating a robust small business economy which will also attract larger businesses, resulting in a lowering of everyone's taxes. I will also bring technology and cyber-security expertise to the Legislature, which I believe will be one of the 5 most important topics for the years to come. I am a strong believer in ensuring a stable water supply for the next 100 years and understand that all parties must be on the same page to ensure that stable water supply. Both are award-winning champions of the taxpayer and families and I share their values and commitment to low taxes, a balanced budget, increased classroom funding, life, liberty, border security, school choice, and protecting the family. I spent my career in the automotive industry, on the mechanical and technological side, so my heart is with the working men and women of this country who want their government to do its job and to otherwise leave them alone to live in peace. Within the GOP, I've served as Precinct Captain, State Delegate, District 2nd Vice Chairman and then 1stVice Chairman. I was also President of the Sun City West Republican Club. I'm a member of the NRA, AZCDL, Surprise Tea Party, and also work with Americans for Prosperity and the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association. You get two votes for State House and I hope you'll cast them for me and Ben Toma so we can work as a team to advance our conservative ideals. I'd be honored to earn your vote and hope you will support our conservative team. Thank you.

Valerie Harris
State Representative - District 22
Democratic
http://www.harrisforaz.com/
Valerie is a proud product of Arizona public schools and an Arizona resident for more than 50 years. Her children were born and raised in the valley. They are buying first homes, getting married, and starting families here. Valerie worked with small businesses, mid-sized and large corporations during a successful 37-year career with American Express. After listening and understanding her clients' goals and challenges, she helped them manage their card programs. After retiring, Valerie joined the Deer Valley Unified School District. She knows about education and knows corporate expectations for an educated workforce. Valerie sees the damage corporate tax cuts and privatization have done to public education and other state institutions. Current Arizona leadership values corporate and special interests not the needs of the working families. Arizona needs change. Valerie will work for intelligent, sustainable public education funding, a fair tax code that no longer favors corporations over working families, elimination of private prisons, expansion of solar power and green energy, and protection of the individual rights and freedoms of all Arizonans. All LD22 voters deserve representatives who will listen to their concerns and champion their causes. Please "Vote Val."

He is a regular attendee in all State and County meetings. He is an active recruiter of new PC's for all LDs within Maricopa County - recruiting over 60 new PC's in 2017. Because of his tireless efforts, he was just named Precinct Committeeman of the Year for LD22 and Maricopa County Precinct Committeeman of the Year. John is a leader with integrity, a constitutional conservative, and is Pro-Second Amendment. He will support lower taxes, less government, reduction of government regulations and spending, and growing private business. John stays focused on the objectives involved and is able to work with competing views to achieve a desired outcome. John has strong family values and will preserve and protect our quality of life.

After losing their home, their small business and all of their savings because of medical bills, a married couple was forced to divorce in the golden years of their lives. They'd been together for two decades but because of bureaucratic nonsense, the cost of the husband's nursing home care would only be fully covered if he were a single man. So, just like that, a sacred bond had to be dissolved so that one half of a couple could live out his remaining years with a little more dignity. This is a true story that happened right here in our area. I know this, because it's the story of my aunt and uncle. This is not how it's supposed to be. I'm running because I know you have stories like this. We live in a part of the Valley that often gets forgotten about. What we need is new leadership so that our stories can be told. Ask my family and they'll tell you; I'm not afraid to speak my mind and to stand up for what's right, to stand up for you. I'm a first-time candidate who knows we can do better. Let's get our House in order.

Ben Toma
State Representative - District 22
Republican
https://www.bentoma.com/
I'm a husband, father, small-business owner, and committed conservative. I spent a term on the Peoria City Council because I disliked how the special interests ran the city at the expense of the people who lived there. When I was asked if I was willing to be appointed to fill the vacancy left by Phil Lovas I thought that the opportunity to fight for conservative values at the state level was important enough to say yes. And I'm glad I did! We have cut taxes, balanced the budget, increased classroom funding and teacher pay, reduced regulations, and we have one of the strongest economies and job markets in the nation. I have a 100% pro-Constitution voting record and, as the father of five girls, am absolutely committed to protecting our 2ndAmendment rights. I'm honored to be endorsed by Sen. Judy Burges, former State Treasurer (and Trump COO) Jeff DeWit, former State Representative Phil Lovas, County Supervisor Clint Hickman, and others. I'm also proud to be running as a team with David Livingston and Frank Carroll. We will work well together as a team, protecting taxpayers and limited government. We ask for your vote and thank you for your time!

Timothy Jeffries
State Senator - District 23
Republican
https://www.timothyjeffriesforaz.com/
Governor Ducey asked me to transform the calcified Department of Economic Security and improve social services for 1.6 million Arizonans in tough circumstances. We went to work, attacked the status quo, cleaned out deadwood, eliminated bureaucracy, increased morale and productivity, and improved care for Arizonans in need. Eventually the self-serving status quo fought back, claiming I was cruel for legally firing hundreds of poor-performing employees and wrong to increase security for thousands of our employees and hundreds of thousands of our customers who visit DES service centers. The liberal attacks I suffered never dampened my desire to serve others. I'm running for State Senate to make a positive conservative difference for Arizona. I'm pro-education, pro-jobs, pro-police, pro-border security, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution and anti-politician. Representative Ugenti-Rita runs as a conservative but votes like a liberal. She's been rated a "Friend of Big Government." She voted against the extension of Proposition 301 to fund education, against "Blue Lives Matter" legislation to protect law enforcement, and against anti-bullying legislation to protect school children. She opposes term limits and ultimately wants a career in Congress. I simply want to serve you in the Senate. I ask for your vote.

State Senator - District 23

A life-long Republican, public school teacher and successful small business owner, Kristina Kelly is running for State Senate in LD 23 to fight for conservative values and serve her community with integrity. Her core beliefs include reducing the size and scope of government, growing our economy through market-based solutions, and providing a high-quality education for all children by properly funding our public education system. As a long-time public education advocate and mother of four children, she understands the value of creating and maintaining safe schools that prepare our children to enter a competitive workforce. She believes in protecting the rights and liberties of individuals, keeping taxes low, and supporting our law enforcement officials who uphold the rule of law. Kristina was born in Washington, D.C., where her father worked for the Secretary of Agriculture under Presidents Nixon and Ford. Kelly grew up in a family of proud Republicans that emphasized the importance of public service and conservative values. She moved to Arizona 14 years ago with her husband Chris of over 18 years, where they decided to raise their family. Their children have grown up in Scottsdale, where they have all attended public schools.

We must take Arizona FORWARD in providing opportunities for ALL to live healthy, happy, productive lives." Many businesses have bypassed AZ due to the lack of support for public education. In order for Arizona to grow and attract good jobs, a quality K-12 public education system and affordable higher education is required. Retaining certified teachers and support staff requires that they be paid competitive salaries. School buildings need to be maintained. Affordable healthcare for all is essential. Too many Arizonans cannot afford healthcare. They lose jobs because of untreated physical or mental health conditions. Maintaining and expanding ACA will provide essential health services, stabilize the insurance market and lower overall health care cost. A healthy educated work force will attract new business with good jobs and grow the tax base. The Public through the Arizona Constitution and state legislation have specified that certain public services will be provided. The state legislature and the governor have the responsibility of ensuring that public services are adequately funded and that all entities receiving public money are audited with results made public. Public education and affordable health care are essential to Arizona's future

Michelle Ugenti-Rita
State Senator - District 23

It has been my honor and privilege to represent legislative district 23 for the last eight years. During that time, I worked vigorously to restore Arizona's fiscal health by structurally balancing the state's budget, cutting taxes, spurring economic growth, reducing burdensome government regulations on businesses and increasing education funding by $1.2 billion over the next three years. I also supported legislation, approved by the voters, which puts an additional $3.5 billion in to the education system by 2026. For the last two years, I served as Chairwoman of the Ways and Means Committee where I worked diligently so all taxpayers are treated fairly and equitably. I was appointed Chairwoman of the Government Committee during my first term and held that position for three years. Subsequent to that, I served two years as Chairwoman of the Elections Committee and have served on the Appropriations Committee during my eight year tenure. As a result of my efforts I am thankful to have earned the endorsements of our Congressman David Schweikert, Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane, Fountain Hills Mayor Linda Kavanagh and Senator John Kavanagh. John Kavanagh

John is a retired professor of criminal justice at Scottsdale Community College. Prior to teaching at Scottsdale Community College, John taught at Arizona State University and served 20 years as a police officer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department, retiring as a detective sergeant. John served six years as a town councilman in Fountain Hills and also served three years on the Lafayette, New Jersey Town Council. He is in his fourth year as a state senator and previously served eight years in the Arizona House of Representatives. He is currently Senate President Pro Tempore. John was awarded a BA in Liberal Arts from NYU, a Masters Degree in Government from St. John's University (Queens, NY), and a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Rutgers. He is also a military veteran.

Eric Kurland
State Representative - District 23
Democratic
http://www.kurland23.com
Eric Kurland is a husband, father, and public school teacher living in Scottsdale who believes that education is the fundamental issue facing voters in November. A current classroom teacher with more than 20 years' experience, Eric earned a degree in Finance from Arizona State University, proving him uniquely qualified to meet the challenge of holding a House seat. Eric believes Arizona's voters must no longer vote for incumbents whose political agendas and votes have repeatedly demoted Arizona to the extreme bottom of lists regarding per pupil spending, teacher pay, and large class sizes. Eric Kurland believes that it is legislative malpractice to fiscally starve our schools; it is wrong to fund private education with public dollars; it is immoral to absolve charter schools from following procurement rules; and it is a grave mistake to zero-out funding for our community colleges. Eric Kurland believes the time has come to change the irresponsible, downward trajectory of our state. It is time for new representation. It is time for a teacher. It is time for Eric Kurland!

After 25 years talking about the issues on my KTAR talk show, the experience of getting elected in 2014 and going to work solving those issues was as rewarding as I could have hoped for. As I promised, I voted in a conservative manner to expand the power of the individual and limit the power of the government. This term I was honored to serve as Chairman for the House Military, Veterans, and Regulatory Affairs Committee. As an Air Force veteran, I am also proud to serve as co-chair of the House and Senate Veterans Caucus. As always, I voted for a real balanced budget, free of gimmicks, even while adding large increases to school spending and teacher pay. I will continue to advocate for real secure borders and an end to illegal immigration, and I will continue to champion our Constitutional rights, like our 2nd Amendment rights. I'm grateful for the many endorsements I have received and invite you to visit my website for a full list and to learn more about my positions on issues. I look forward to serving with John Kavanagh this next term and I humbly ask for your vote!

I am proud to be your representative for the past four terms and it would be an honor to be your senator. Growing successful individuals and a strong community has been my life's work and I am proud of the progress we have made. In this legislative session, we passed a bipartisan bill to address the opioid epidemic that is hurting Arizona families. We also witnessed a movement unlike any other when Red For Ed descended upon the state capitol. They were the driving force behind the legislation to give teachers a 9% raise, but there is no sustainable funding stream, not all teachers and support staff will receive the raise, and funding has not been returned to 2008 levels. There is much more work to be done. If we truly value public education, we need to hold some politicians accountable. It's important that we support the Invest In Ed initiative, vote NO on proposition 305 to prevent the expansion of vouchers, and support the Outlaw Dirty Money campaign to ensure transparency in our elections. I ask for your support to be your state senator so I can continue to fight for Arizonans' priorities and hold the Republican leadership accountable.

I am asking for your vote to continue my work supporting voting rights, sustainable development and rational budget priorities. I am dedicated to supporting working families and their need for better education funding and smarter long-term planning in our state. I support equal rights and the human rights of all people to thrive in Arizona. I am proud of the work that I've done in support of local businesses and against efforts to undermine fair and open elections. I proudly support the #RedForEd, Save Our Schools and Outlaw Dirty Money campaigns this year. I founded the Phoestivus Market, now in its 10th year. The market supports hundreds of locally-owned businesses ever year and generates funding for the Downtown open air market. I am also proud of the role that I played in 2008 in defeating the payday loan industries' effort to establish itself permanently in Arizona. Through my teaching experience in post-secondary schools I am convinced that quality K - 12 education is critical to prepare young people and give them hope that they will succeed and achieve their goals. As a nurse practitioner, I have been a champion for access to healthcare and for addressing the conditions that result in poor health; unsafe neighborhoods, outdated immigration policies, climate change, underemployment, homelessness, inadequate insurance, and chronic stress among people of color from discrimination. In my role as Governmental Affairs Officer and chair of public policy committees, I have been a leader in my profession to work with coalitions to get legislation passed. I will never compromise on a woman's right to make her own reproductive health choices. I support actions to reduce sexual and domestic violence. I favor policies that promote responsible gun ownership. I support laws to promote voting rights, protect the rights of people with disabilities, and that prohibit discrimination against LGBTQ persons. My experiences as a Board of Nursing member and engagement with stakeholders on proposted legislation have given me broad experience in both regulatory and state legislative initiatives. I will work hard at the legislature for you and our shared values.

Jennifer Longdon

Jennifer Longdon was paralyzed by gun violence in 2004. After the shooting, she lost her healthcare, grappled with poverty, the threat of homelessness, and struggled to regain employment. This experience led her to advocate for community integration and civil rights protections of marginalized communities. She served as Chair of Mayor's Commission on Disability Issues, where she fought to protect the LGBTQ community as well as people with disabilities in Phoenix's expanded nondiscrimination ordinance passed in 2013. Jen fights to balance Second Amendment rights with commonsense policies to curb gun violence so no family will have to experience the same loss and hardship. Jen is immediate past president of Arizonans for Gun Safety and helped organize Arizona's largest gun buyback program. In 2016 she was invited to the White House by President Obama to discuss his executive actions on gun violence. As LD 24 State Representative Jen will fight to increase per-pupil funding in our public schools, raise teacher salaries, attract quality jobs, demand a livable wage for workers, and ensure the civil rights of all marginalized communities. I am Russell "Rusty" Bowers. I am 65 years old, and raised by children of the depression who taught me to stand on my own feet, trust in God and go to work. I have a wonderful wife, seven children and 16 grandchildren, whom taught me that you will have wonderful success and trying challenges and all things give you experience...so you keep working and don't give up. I learned many different life-skills all of which have helped me over a 26 year involvement in the legislative process, including 13 years as a member. I have, and continue to carry leadership roles in committee and within the Republican caucus. I have been called a "renaissance man" with stone-age politics by the New Times, and "tough but fair" by opponents. I carry conservative credentials happily. I love and respect the institution of the legislature, I know it well and I use it to do good for the people of Arizona. I iisten, speak to truth and respect others. I serve honorably and will continue to do so with your support.

Marlene Hinton
State Representative - District 25

I am a Mesa native, wife (42 years) and mother of eight children and grandmother of 27. Families are not only the core unit and source of strength of society, they are also the source from which government derives just authority (Declaration of Independence). In addition, families are the creators of wealth the government consumes. Thus, it is the primary responsibility of legislators to foster and protect the source of money and power and strength which is the family. Every piece of legislation MUST be analyzed in terms of the effect it will have on ALL families. I earned a PhD in education at the same time three of my sons worked on theirs; a fourth son will soon finish his. A son-in-law also has a PhD. I strongly advocate for education but am concerned about the belief that money will solve school problems. In reality, the parents are the primary, most powerful teachers and the best predictors of academic success. Legislators must be cautious in assuming that depriving families of their hard-earned resources or depressing business opportunities through over-regulation will improve education. Strong families do that best! Dr. Marlene Ray Hinton

During my time in the legislature, I've done my best to represent the voice of the people I represent. Representing Mesa has been the service opportunity of a lifetime. Mesa is my lifelong home and our schools, public safety, and conservative values are personal to me. During this last term in the legislature I worked to get money into our local schools, supported a fiscally responsible budget, and worked to continue the pro-growth conservative policies that are growing our economy and creating jobs for our residents. If I'm re-elected and given the opportunity to continue to represent Mesa, I will continue to fight for our children, families, small businesses, and hard working taxpayers.

Juan Mendez

For six years as your public servant in the Arizona Legislature, I have fought to restore integrity and accountability in state government. As an unapologetic progressive, I have advocated for rebuilding and strengthening a social safety net of resources and opportunities that serve our community, including our public education system. Having grown up in poverty, I know firsthand that individual success coincides with public investment in education, infrastructure, health, transportation, economic stability and public safety. We are at a critical moment in history. Arizona is on the verge of becoming a majority-minority state, and yet our Latino youth continue to fall behind at devastatingly high rates. By not addressing the educational achievement gap head on, we are facing one of the gravest threats to our state's future economy. As the Chair of the Latino Caucus, I have worked to ensure that we tackle this crisis. In my experience at the Arizona legislature, the number one barrier to moving Arizona forward for all of us is the influence of big money in elections. This is why I am running clean with Athena Salman and Isela Blanc as your Clean Elections Team in District 26. Please vote for all three.

Let's prepare for tomorrow, together. I'm a mother of three children, a social worker, school's parent advisory committee chair, founder of a nonprofit, and a board member for many respected community organizations. As a professional social worker and as a Native American woman, my deep rooted principles and values will make a positive difference. My fiscal view is this: let's prepare for our future by prioritizing tax dollars, today, to support education, public safety, natural resources. Our children should never pay the price for special interest tax breaks. I agree with my district voters: we must responsibly increase resources for the things we value most, including education. I'll focus on increasing transparency and accountability with education spending "”from charter schools to universities. Violence, excessive force, and bullying are public safety issues that directly impact our schools, and these will be prioritized. Together, we'll improve our economy while finding solutions to our limited water supply, carbon emissions, and food production. If you elect me, I will focus on developing long-term solutions through diverse stakeholder groups that practice inclusive policy making, implementing sensible economic solutions, and protecting our environment. I am a wife, mother, and small business owner who lives and works in the heart of Historic Downtown Mesa. I am a graduate of Mesa High School and have found joy in serving the community of Mesa and its surrounding areas my entire adult life. For as long as I can remember, I've had a strong interest in politics. That interest once began and ended with the desire to educate myself on our local, state, and federal political processes in an effort to be a well-informed voter, but more recently my political interests have grown. I am seeking the office of State Senator for LD26 because I want to serve the people of Arizona and more specifically, the people within our legislative district. I want to utilize my skills as an attentive listener and a cooperative problem solver to do what so many elected officials before me have failed to do: To set aside our political differences and look beyond the restrictions of our party lines in order to act in the best interests of our entire constituency.

Arizona ranks at the bottom when it comes to teacher salaries, per-pupil spending, and student-teacher ratios. We have a responsibility to continuously improve our education system and to ensure all students have equal opportunity and access to highly qualified teachers, staff and instructional resources. Investments in education result in a highly educated workforce creating greater economic gains, decreased reliance on government services and reduction in criminal activity. I am committed to advocating and pursuing thoughtful, collaborative solutions for programs and policies designed to invest not dis-invest in Arizonans. The first step to build a strong vibrant Arizona requires investing in the well-being of people; improving the health and economic benefits of all will enhance our communities and quality of life. One barrier to moving Arizona forward is the influence of money in elections. I chose to run clean with Juan Mendez and Athena Salman (Your Clean Elections Team in District 26) to represent the people of Arizona, avoiding the influence of special interest money. Please vote for all three.

Growing up in a multiethnic family in Arizona, I developed a deep appreciation for our country's shared history and future potential. Like many of my fellow Americans, my experiences taught me resiliency, diligence, and the importance of community. I am best known for tirelessly working to advance the rights of vulnerable populations by standing up to powerful institutions. Most recently my bill, HB2222, inspired national outrage over the inadequate supply of feminine hygiene products for women in prison, leading to an immediate policy change within the Department of Corrections. This fits a long history of advocacy for working families, students, women, children and immigrants before I was elected. I have received multiple acclaims for my work, including the City of Tempe's MLK Diversity Award. I am a first generation college graduate, finishing Magna Cum Laude at Arizona State University with two Bachelors of Science in Economics and Political Science. I was elected to the House of Representatives in 2016. I am seeking re-election as a part of your District 26 Clean Elections Team alongside Senator Juan Mendez and Rep. Arizona has been home to me and my family for 5 generations. I am committed to working hard to see Arizona thrive and to leave it a better State for my family and yours. As the AZ House of Representatives Democratic Leader, I lead the fight for increased funding for Arizona's school teachers and students, I secured 10 million dollars for opioid addiction treatment for the uninsured, led the fight against special interest tax breaks, voted to protect Kidscare, workers rights, women's access to healthcare, and instate tuition for DACA students. I fought against dark money buying our elections, voter suppression and discriminatory legislation aimed at LGBTQ and immigrant communities. My strong record of legislative experience and leadership has earned me endorsements by teachers, labor, firefighters, nurses, women's groups, public safety, child advocates, human rights and environmental groups. They know I will continue to be an outspoken fighter for a better quality of life for all Arizonans. I have been honored to represent the families and communities of LD27. My name is Talonya Adams. I was born in Legislative District 27 (LD27). I am a mother, a first-generation college graduate, a small business owner and an attorney who has dedicated my career in law, policy and business to improve the lives of children and communities through education, increased access to opportunities and entrepreneurship. As I speak with LD27 residents, quality public education, living wage jobs, access to affordable quality health care, criminal justice reform and transportation infrastructure are among the most significant issues facing our community. Our district needs effective, efficient and fully funded public schools that offer an excellent education to all children, increased quality local jobs and business opportunities that yield organic job creation, small business ownership and supports entrepreneurship. Given the opportunity to be elected and serve, my top priorities will focus on strengthening our economy through greater investment in our public education system, preserving and extending access to affordable and QUALITY healthcare, school and community safety, equitable criminal justice reform and sustainable local hiring for transportation infrastructure and economic development. Diego Rodriguez
State Representative - District 27
Democratic
A lifelong Democrat and successful attorney, Diego Rodriguez lives in Laveen and is the father of two children, a daughter, age 14 and a son, age 4. Diego owns his own law firm and he has dedicated his career to fighting for equity and justice for all in Arizona. His passion for LD27 stems from his belief that earning a seat in the state legislature is a great way to fight for working families, public education and school safety at this critical time in our history. The grandson of farm workers and son of a single mother, Diego made his way from Casper, Wyoming to the University of Notre Dame, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Finance. In 1992, he entered law school at the University of Arizona and immediately afterward entered public service as a prosecutor for the Pima County Attorney's unit in 1995. Diego spent 4 years as a prosecutor working on many different types of crimes including murder cases. In 2008, Diego started his own law firm, specializing in criminal defense and personal injury matters. Diego wants to take honesty, integrity and a commitment to public service back to the state legislature.

Arizona has been my home for almost 30 years, with the past 17 of those in the South Mountain, Guadalupe and Laveen communities. I feel a kinship with my neighbors in LD 27 and understand the needs of our residents. I am passionate about helping to effect positive changes and growth within my community. Many of my LD27 neighbors have voiced that education, healthcare and business development are major priorities for them, and I will fight for improvements in these areas." Education - I will advocate for a stronger education system, and to place higher value on our teachers and educational support personnel. I will work closely with teachers to learn how we can better support them in their daily efforts. A competitive salary is crucial to ensure we can attract and retain top talent, but there are many more daily barriers teachers encounter that hinder their success with their students. We need to do a better job of identifying and overcoming those barriers and working toward innovative improvements. I will represent all of our students, and fight for fairness and a quality education that meets the individual needs of each child.

HELLO DISTRICT 28 NEIGHBORS! I AM UNIQUE AMONG THE SEVERAL CANDIDATES FOR THIS OFFICE (AZ SENATE DISTRICT 28) IN THAT I AM THE ONLY NAVY VETERAN AND I AM SEEKING A HUGE REFORM TO THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM TO STOP SENDING NON-VIOLENT PERSONS TO PRISON WHERE THEY ARE TURNED INTO THUGS RATHER THAN PATRIOTIC AMERICANS. I WOULD IMPOSE RESTITUTION AND FINES ON NON-VIOLENT OFFENDERS. PRISONS SHOULD BE FOR VIOLENT OFFENDERS. MY WEBSITE DESCRIBES MY PLAN IN MORE DETAIL AND ALSO HAS A FULL RESUME ON THE PAGE ENTITLED "ABOUT KEN". PLEASE HAVE A LOOK; I NEED YOUR VOTE! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS PRESIDENT TRUMP! I started public service twenty years ago, a mom with 3 young children in public schools, as a school board member. I was new to politics and didn't know the process, but I knew we could do better for our teachers, parents, and most importantly, students. Since that time, I've fought for people and causes I believe in: uninsured women with cancer who couldn't get treatment, children lost in the foster care system, small business owners buried under burdensome regulations, and always, K-12 and higher education funding. I've won a lot of those fights. Today our schools have more resources because I fought to extend Prop 301, the education sales tax. It was called "the most important bill of the 2018 session" that would never pass, but we got it done. Now our districts have reliable funding for the future and higher teacher pay. I'm a pragmatic problem-solver. My priorities are Arizona-centric, my solutions are bipartisan, and I champion issues important to our district. I humbly ask for your support. Whether you've done so in the past, or not, I will always fight for you and the best interests of Arizona.

I'm a proud Phoenician and graduate of Arizona public schools. It was my loyalty to my hometown that brought me back to Phoenix after graduating from UCLA with a scholarship in track. Here is where I raised my two sons and foster children, and where I taught for 26 years. My passion for my community runs deep. I have dedicated my career to being a teacher and after 23 years of being in the classroom every day, I was honored to be named Arizona's 2016 Teacher of the year. Through that experience, I had the opportunity to travel across the state to see first-hand the issues that public schools are facing on a daily basis. While my experiences as a mother, teacher, and foster mother were the catalyst for me running for the Arizona State Senate, the motivating factor for my candidacy is to create balance at the Capitol and to force negotiation and compromise. For too long, Arizona has suffered under the burden of one-party rule. Under Republican leadership, our most vulnerable populations have been placed at risk, and a tie in the Senate will change that by creating a marketplace of ideas that will foster innovation.

I first ran for office to provide a responsible, moderate voice for sensible solutions to the critical issues facing our district and our state: increasing support for public education to pre-recession levels, ensuring access to affordable healthcare, and keeping our families and neighborhoods safe. I am more convinced than ever before that it will take all of us who care about these issues to make the changes we need, and I am excited to see so many teachers and students now engaged in #RedforEd and #MarchforOurLives. In my first term as State Representative, I sponsored bills to increase healthcare options, worked across the aisle to establish more accountability and transparency for the use of our tax dollars, and offered amendments to cap class sizes and increase teacher salaries. As a member of the Banking and Insurance Committee and the Health Committee, I used my background as a small business owner to ask tough questions and create pro-business policy, balancing the need for economic growth with necessary consumer protections. I know our work is just beginning, but we are making a difference. I am honored to represent you, and I ask you again for your vote!

When I was growing up in LD28, Arizona felt like the best place in the world to be a kid. When I moved back home to Arizona a few years ago to raise my family, I was struck by how much the place I loved had changed. Ten years of one party rule had allowed a small group of far-right politicians to ignore the other party and take sole control of our state government. The Arizona I grew up in was a much more pragmatic place. Democrats and Republicans worked together in the best interest of all Arizonans. The state was infused with that same spirit -- it didn't matter where you were from or who your family was, we all worked and played together. That can-do spirit led me to Brophy Prep and later Yale, where I founded Jumpstart, an organization that engages college students as literacy tutors for low-income preschoolers. I grew Jumpstart into a national not for profit, and eight years later I left to found Acelero Learning, a company designed to help provide high-quality Head Start programs. Today, over 40,000 children are enrolled in Head Start programs using Acelero Learning's high-impact approach.

I have deep roots in Arizona. My family has been active in AZ business and community efforts almost a century. My life has been spent in LD28. I grew up in North Central, attended Rose Lane Elementary, Central High School and the University of Arizona. Bill and I raised our family in Arcadia and Paradise Valley, with our children attending outstanding public schools and Brophy. I understand the importance quality public education, school choice and student outcome is to the families of this district. My decades of community involvement have identified me as a pragmatic, reliable go-to leader and community servant. I am active as a:life-long Goldwater Republican; 25+ year precinct committeeman; Phoenix Art Museum; Heart Association; Greek Orthodox Cathedral; Boys Team Charity. My commitment to serve is genuine. In 25 days, with the help of friends and family I collected 1336 signatures to be eligible for the ballot (only 80 were paid to a library circulator).Walking door to door,I personally collected 735 signatures. Deep roots in the district, a record of accomplishment within our community, strong work ethic, endorsed by Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, ability to be a productive legislator, will put me in a commanding position to earn your vote.

As your Representative, I passed more bipartisan legislation than any other freshman legislator, with wins for teachers, small business, health care, veterans, and public safety. It is possible to work across the aisle and put people before politics or party. My first bill to test 6000 rape kits sitting on evidence shelves passed unanimously giving women and victims justice while making our communities safer. My efforts to lower prescription drug costs resulted in unanimous, bipartisan passage of my bill stopping prescription middlemen from wrongfully pocketing patient savings. I am also proud of my work with veterans with bipartisan passage of my Service Counts legislation making jobs more readily available to those who served in the name of freedom. We also had gains for small business with the passage of my regulatory reform bill encouraging settlement of lawsuits and preventing frivolous claims. The legislature also made big wins with the Opioid Epidemic Act and a $1.5 billion historic investment in education including a 20% raise to our teachers. I plan to build on these successes as we continue to move Arizona forward with continued job growth, quality education and safer communities. I would be honored to have your vote again.

My covenant is to continually to fight for Working Families, Education, Dreamers and most importantly, Protecting ALL People's Rights. We need to protect unions and all worker rights, including our LGBTQ community. We need tax cuts for middle income families. We need to bring better paying jobs which offer a livable wage, provide healthcare and a pension back to our state. We ALSO need to take care of small businesses that provide much needed jobs. We need to strengthen our public education system and pay our teachers a wage where they can afford to have a decent life. We also need to stop legislation that hurts Arizona's image and that our state cares about all people.

I am running for the State Senate to continue serving the community I love in Arizona's legislature. As a young man, I became active in my church, Neighborhood Ministries, and worked to organize people in low-income communities so we could fight for affordable housing, affordable health care and good-paying jobs. I have worked in the non-profit sector on these issues and I have made these issues my focus over the last couple years in the state legislature. Improving our schools and bringing good-paying jobs to the West Valley will remain my top priorities. In addition to championing a tangible policy agenda, I remain committed to our neighborhood families and next generation of young leaders by spearheading internships that focus on our neighborhood youth. In addition, I will stay committed to addressing the ills of our criminal justice systems and revamp our criminal codes for the twenty first century. La inversií³n en nuestros estudiantes y educacií³n, la creacií³n de trabajos que pagan bien, la proteccií³n de cuidado de salud asequible, y apoyo para una reforma migratoria seran areas continuadas de importancia para mi. - Otoniel "Tony" Navarrete

I'm a product of LD 30 where I've lived for 44 years. As a 3rd generation native & father of two children who were born & raised in LD 30, I understand the importance of having experienced, progressive leadership in the State House to safeguard our children's futures. I previously served in both the House & Senate for our community. In 2007, Gov. Napolitano appointed me to the State Superior Court where I served for over 10 years. As one of 7 children growing up in our district, strong public schools were our ticket to a better life. I graduated from Cortez H.S. & Glendale Community College. My wife, an immigrant, and I graduated from Grand Canyon College. She was the first person in her family to get a college degree. I went on to get my law degree at the U of A. Both of our children are also products of the public education system and I want to ensure that the quality public education they received is there for future generations. We need experienced leadership to guarantee full funding of education, universally affordable health care, and public services to combat problems of homelessness that impact our neighborhoods.

Arizona deserves leadership that sets the stage for a prosperous environment and always puts the needs of our communities first. I am committed to fighting for our working families and to increase our standard of living. We need to sustainably fund our public education system that builds critical thinkers and prepares our students for the future. We need higher wages and stronger jobs right here in our district. We need to work towards a universal healthcare system and assure that we have access to quality and affordable healthcare. We need to invest in our community groups and after-school programs that fortify our families and promote safer schools and neighborhoods. We need to combat corruption and get big money out of politics; I am proud to be the only Clean Elections candidate running in this race. It is imperative that we have representation that has experienced the challenges our communities face and that can offer concrete solutions to strengthen our quality of life. This is why I am running to represent the district that raised me. I would be honored to have your vote this election and to be your voice at the Capitol.

Friend, colleague and respected public servant are just a few things Robert Meza has been called over the years. But he also is a proud, third-generation Phoenician who has represented the good people of District 30 in the Arizona State Legislature. Senator Meza attended Montebello in the Alhambra District, Bourgade Catholic High School and graduated from the University of Notre Dame. He has lived in the district for 33 years. Meza is running for the State House. The Capitol Times for several years has nominated Sen. Meza "Best Democrat" for the principals he stands for: Pay raises for teachers, smaller class sizes and safe neighborhoods. Meza stopped an unjust proposal to reduce Grand Canyon University's taxes and transfer a $36 million tax burden to local homeowners and prevented predatory lenders from invading our communities. He is a staunch supporter of the Red for Ed movement and is a board member of the YMCA, Phoenix Theatre, and Jewish Family Children Services. Meza is endorsed by: Professional Firefighters of AZ, Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, Phoenix Councilman Danny Valenzuela, Honorable Debbie McCune-Davis, Rep. Lela Alston, Rep. Cesar Chavez, Honorable Art Hamilton, Senator Catherine Miranda, and United Food and Commercial Workers.

I'm not a politician, just a regular Joe like most of you. I am the A/V Technical Director for a church, and a conservative Christian who believes the government should work for us, not hinder us. I want to protect all our freedoms including our first amendment, second amendment, and religious freedoms. I also want to protect the unborn who deserve a chance to live, not to have that choice taken away from them. For too long our district has been represented by Democrats who believe their job is to vote "NO" on bills. They are so partisan they get left out of the process. This is bad for our State and our district. When our district has challenges, our own Representatives aren't helping us because they're too busy being political. When they do have the chance to make a difference, they vote "NO" because they put party over what's best for us. If it's a good bill I will vote for it. If it's bad, I will not. We need someone who will work with everyone to provide safe neighborhoods, strong schools, and better jobs. That's why I'm running. I ask for your vote and your support. Thank you!

Now, I seek your support in electing me to the Arizona State Legislature so I can fight for the issues that will make our community stronger: Investments in Safe Neighborhood Public Schools Vibrant Economic Growth and Quality Jobs Quality Healthcare for All Keeping All Families Together I have seen how hard our community works, how we never give up, and how we are always there for our neighbors. I strongly share these values and will use them to guide me as your representative in the Arizona State Legislature.
