Raquel TerÁn
State Senator - District 26
Democratic
https://raquelteran.com/
My name is Raquel A. TerÁn and I am a Democrat running to represent the residents of Legislative District 26 in the Arizona Senate. My family taught me that there comes a time when you have to put your values into action. In 2006, I saw anti-immigrant sentiment and legislation gaining momentum in Arizona. Because of my deep belief in equality, fairness, and family, I started organizing in our community and became a trusted community leader in the battles against SB1070 (the racial-profiling law), the fight against former Sheriff Joe Arpaio. I am asking for your vote to continue the fight to ensure every child is able to grow up in the best community possible and that those who have given their time and years of work to the district are able to enjoy the fruits of that work. That means fighting for good, fully-funded neighborhood schools, access to quality affordable healthcare for everyone, good-paying jobs, and access to affordable housing. You have my utmost commitment that I will show up every day ready to fight for our families.

Flavio Bravo
State Representative - District 26
Democratic
https://www.flaviobravo.com/
I am a fifth-generation Arizonan, born and raised in West Phoenix. I received a Master’s degree in Migration Studies from the University of San Francisco, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago. I am running for State Representative because I want every family in our community to truly thrive; where our children can pursue their educational goals, have great careers, and lead extraordinary lives. We are still overcoming the pandemic and the cost of living has skyrocketed. Our schools, which should be places where students, teachers, and parents are supported, have faced continuous uncertainty. Strong PreK-12 public schools, affordable housing, and access to healthcare are necessities. With a background in economic and immigration policy, I am committed to supporting small businesses, as well as ensuring dignity in all work. Each of my experiences as an educator, Congressional staffer, and in the nonprofit sector provide me with the skills to address our district’s most pressing needs while working for a more just, and livable future for Arizona, and generations to come. I invite you to visit my website FlavioBravo.com. It would be an honor to earn your vote and to serve you at the State Legislature.

Gil Hacohen
State Representative - District 26
Democratic
Over the past several years, I’ve witnessed my community slowly decay. Homelessness, has become pervasive. Meanwhile, rent has spiraled out of control with increases above 50%, driving many neighbors away. For those who stay, many are afraid to let their children play outside after dark. Meanwhile, down at the capitol, Republican politicians continue making it harder for all Arizonans to vote in elections. I believe that we deserve better. Families should feel safe from crime as well as rising costs. Basic necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, and medical assistance (including mental healthcare) should be available for those in need. Everyone should have the opportunity to achieve their American Dream, whatever that may mean to them. With my unique perspective as an immigrant, and small business owner, as well as the experience I have acquired as a successful litigator and negotiator with the law firm I founded, Lawyers For Less PLLC, I will implement common sense solutions to our policy problems, and help us move past political polarization based on ideological “issue positions.” I want to serve my community by being a part of the change I want to see.
