*Important Date for Independent (No Party) Voters. Independent voters must choose which ballot they want to vote. The last day to vote early is July 17.
What is the Primary Election on July 21?
Each recognized political party holds a primary election to nominate candidates. The candidates that win the nomination in the primary election advance to the general election. Arizona has an open primary, which allows voters registered as independent (no party) to participate by designating to their County Recorder which partisan ballot they would like to receive.
Independent Voters
Arizona has an open primary, which means all registered voters can participate in the election, including independents. Independent voters can vote early by contacting their County Recorder with their preferred party ballot by July 10 (Note: Independents on the AEVL must tell their County Recorder which ballot to send them if they wish to vote early). Independent voters can also visit their voting location and choose their preferred party ballot on Election Day. For more information, click the button below or see the FAQ's.

Proposition 418 – OFFICIAL TITLE: An ordinance proposing a 4-year mayor term for the City of Kingman. DESCRIPTIVE TITLE: Proposition 418 proposes to increase the term of office for Mayor from two (2) years to four (4) years. If adopted, this change will take effect beginning with the 2028 Primary Election, for the term of office starting in December 2028. A "Yes" vote would indicate your support of a four (4) year term for the Mayor. A "No" vote would indicate your opposition to a four (4) year term for the Mayor.

Ways to Vote
Early VotingEarly voting begins on June 24, 2026. Voters are able to vote by mail or visit an early voting location. The Mohave County Recorder's office has established the following early voting locations (Locations are open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.):
- Bullhead City at the Mohave County Library, 1170 Hancock Rd, Bullhead City
- Lake Havasu City at the Mohave County Library, 1770 McCulloch Blvd N, Lake Havasu City
- Kingman at the Mohave County Library, 3269 E Burbank St, Kingman
*Locations will be open from 10AM to 7PM on the last day of early voting.

Voting on Election DayMohave County utilizes vote centers and precinct specific polling places. Vote Centers are different than polling places in that any eligible voter can visit a vote center in their county and receive and cast their ballot while you can only go to your assigned "polling place".
