Any taxpayer making a donation to the Citizens Clean Elections Fund by December 31, 2011, will receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit of up to $670 or 20% of the tax amount on his or her Arizona income tax return (whichever is greater).  If you file jointly, this tax credit is $1,340.

 

You may make a donation to the “Clean Elections Fund” by check or money order only.  The Commission no longer accepts on-line donations as the cost became too prohibitive. 

  

You can determine what your liability was last year and donate accordingly.  But please remember that if you do not owe the State income tax, this dollar-for-dollar tax credit will not benefit you.  Donations to the Clean Elections Fund are not tax deductible on your Federal return and cannot be designated to benefit a particular candidate, political party or election.

 

Please make your tax donation payable to Clean Elections Fund and mail it to Citizens Clean Elections Commission, 1616 W. Adams, Suite 110, Phoenix, AZ  85007.   A tax donation receipt will be returned to you for your records.  If you have any questions, please call 602-364-3477 or toll free 1-877-631-8891.
