MINUTES OF PUBLIC MEETING OF THE

STATE OF ARIZONA

CITIZENS CLEAN ELECTIONS COMMISSION

July 3, 2002

A teleconference meeting of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission was convened on July 3, 2002, 4:00 p.m., at Citizens Clean Elections Commission, 4001 N. 3rd Street, Suite 200, Phoenix, Arizona 85012

Members present: Chairperson Ruth S. Jones, Scottsdale (Teleconferencing)
  Gene Lemon, Phoenix
  David Mckay, Flagstaff (Teleconferencing)
  Ermila Jolley, Yuma (Teleconferencing)
Member Absent: Kathleen Detrick, Tucson
Others Present: Matthew Shaffer, Deputy Director
  Todd Lang, Assistant Attorney General
  Mary Gene Schoenbeck, Administrative Assistant
  1. Chairperson Jones called the meeting to order at approximately 4:05 p.m.
     
  2. Discussion and Consideration of a Possible Substantive Policy Statement Regarding the Use of Funds Raised Pursuant to A.A.C. R2-20-104(G)

    The Assistant Attorney General recommended that the Commission adopt a substantive policy statement regarding A.A.C. R2-20-104(G) - "Officeholder Expenses" for the purpose of clarifying the Commission's intent pursuant to the Rule.

    Commissioner McKay moved to adopt substantive policy statement #14 as presented, seconded by Commissioner Jolley. Motion carried.

    Commissioner McKay moved to adjourn the Commission meeting, seconded by Commissioner Jolley. Motion carried.
