NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND POSSIBLE

EXECUTIVE SESSION OF

THE

STATE OF ARIZONA

CITIZENS CLEAN ELECTIONS COMMISSION

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the Commissioners of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission and the general public that the Citizens Clean Elections Commission will hold a regular meeting, open to the public on Tuesday, May 15, 2001. This meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m., at the Citizens Clean Elections Commission Offices, 4001 North 3rd Street, Suite 200 Phoenix, Arizona.

The Commission may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for the purpose of discussing personnel matters (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(2)), and consultation with Commission attorneys, regarding pending litigation (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(4)), and/or obtaining legal advice for any item on the agenda (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(3)).

All matters on the agenda may be discussed, considered and are subject to action by the Commission.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

  1. Call to Order.
     
  2. Approval of Minutes of April 24, 2001 Meeting.
     
  3. Executive Director's Report.
     
  4. Discussion of Strategic Planning
     
  5. Consideration of the Procedure for Electronic Transfer of Funds.
     
  6. Review Public Comments and Approve Articles I and II of the Rules

    1. Approval of Revised Application for Certification Form
    2. Approval of Revised Qualifying Contribution Form

  7. Consideration of Personnel to work on Enforcement Matters
     
  8. Approval of Revised Meeting Schedule
     
  9. Legal Report (Oral Report from Assistant Attorney General Todd Lang).
     
  10. Call for Public Comment.

    This is the time for consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Those wishing to address the Commission shall request permission in advance by filling out a speaker slip. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.
