NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND POSSIBLE

EXECUTIVE SESSION OF

THE

STATE OF ARIZONA

CITIZENS CLEAN ELECTIONS COMMISSION

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the Commissioners of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission and the general public that the Citizens Clean Elections Commission will hold a regular meeting, open to the public on Tuesday, December 16, 2003. This meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m., at Citizens Clean Elections Commission, 1616 West Adams, Suite 110, Phoenix, Arizona 85007.

The Commission may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for the purpose of discussing personnel matters (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(2)), and consultation with Commission attorneys, regarding pending litigation (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(4)), and/or obtaining legal advice for any item on the agenda (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(3)).

All matters on the agenda may be discussed, considered and are subject to action by the Commission.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

  1. Call to Order
     
  2. Approval of Minutes of November 18, 2003 Meeting.
     
  3. Executive Director's Report Attached and Incorporated by Reference.
     
  4. Nomination and Election of Chair for 2004.
     
  5. Report from State Procurement Office Regarding the Request for Proposal for Audit Contract.
     
  6. Discussion of Voter Education and Public Relations Activities.

  7. Consideration and Approval of Debate Sponsor Applications.

  8. Decision to Accept, Reject or Modify Recommendation of Administrative Law Judge in MUR No.:02-0059, Yuri Downing.

    • United States Supreme Court Decision Regarding Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002.

  10. Call for Public Comment.

    This is the time for consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Those wishing to address the Commission shall request permission in advance by filling out a speaker slip. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.

  11. Approval of Date Change for January 2004 Meeting.
     
  12. Adjournment
