NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND POSSIBLE

EXECUTIVE SESSION OF

THE

STATE OF ARIZONA

CITIZENS CLEAN ELECTIONS COMMISSION

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the Commissioners of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission and the general public that the Citizens Clean Elections Commission will hold a regular meeting, open to the public on Tuesday, November 18, 2003. This meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m., at Citizens Clean Elections Commission, 1616 West Adams, Suite 110, Phoenix, Arizona 85007.

The Commission may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for the purpose of discussing personnel matters (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(2)), and consultation with Commission attorneys, regarding pending litigation (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(4)), and/or obtaining legal advice for any item on the agenda (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(3)).

All matters on the agenda may be discussed, considered and are subject to action by the Commission.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

  1. Call to Order
     
  2. Approval of Minutes of October 21, 2003 Meeting.
     
  3. Executive Director's Report of Current Events.
    Executive Director's Report Attached and Incorporated by Reference.
     
  4. Approval of Commission Meeting Schedule for January – June 2004.
     
  5. Consideration and Approval of the Following Fiscal Matters:

    1. Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for 2004.
    2. Fund Revenue Projections for Next Four Years. A.R.S. § 16-954(D).

  6. Consideration of Proposed Legislative and Rule Changes.
     
  7. Legal Report from Assistant Attorney General Diana Varela

    1. Administrative Hearing Regarding Repayment Order Against Yuri Downing, 2002 Senate Candidate Legislative District 17.
    2. Update on Litigation Regarding 2002 Legislative Districts.
    3. Arizona Right to life v. Brewer: Appeal and Motion to Vacate Judgment.

  8. Call for Public Comment.

    This is the time for consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Those wishing to address the Commission shall request permission in advance by filling out a speaker slip. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.

  9. Agenda Items for the Next Meeting on Tuesday, December 16, 2003, 9:30 a.m:

    1. Nomination and Election of a Commission Chairperson for 2004
    2. Consideration of Debate Sponsor Applications.
