NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND POSSIBLE

EXECUTIVE SESSION OF

THE

STATE OF ARIZONA

CITIZENS CLEAN ELECTIONS COMMISSION

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the Commissioners of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission and the general public that the Citizens Clean Elections Commission will hold a regular meeting, open to the public on Tuesday, July 22, 2003. This meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m., at Citizens Clean Elections Commission, 1616 West Adams, Suite 110, Phoenix, Arizona 85007.

The Commission may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for the purpose of discussing personnel matters (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(2)), and consultation with Commission attorneys, regarding pending litigation (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(4)), and/or obtaining legal advice for any item on the agenda (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(3)).

All matters on the agenda may be discussed, considered and are subject to action by the Commission.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

  1. Call to Order
     
  2. Approval of Minutes of June 24, 2003 and June 30, 2003 Meetings.
     
  3. Executive Director's Report.
     
  4. Discussion and Consideration of Scope of Work for Auditing Contract and Auditor for 2004.
     
  5. Discussion Regarding Performance Criteria for Advertising and Public Relations Campaign.
     
  6. Discussion of Commissioner and Staff Attendance at COGEL Meeting September 21 - 24, 2003 in Austin, Texas.
     
  7. Legal Report from Assistant Attorney General Todd Lang.
     
  8. Call for Public Comment.

    This is the time for consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Those wishing to address the Commission shall request permission in advance by filling out a speaker slip. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.

  9. Agenda Items for the Next Meeting: Tuesday, August 19, 2003, 9:30 a.m.
     
  10. Discussion and Consideration of Personnel Matter:

    Performance assessment and salary review of the Executive Director and staff. The Commission may vote to discuss this matter in executive session pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(1).
