EXECUTIVE SESSION OF

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the Commissioners of the Citizens Clean Elections Commission and the general public that the Citizens Clean Elections Commission will hold a regular meeting, open to the public on Tuesday,
April 30, 2002. This meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m., at Citizens Clean Elections Commission, 4001 N. 3rd St., Suite 200, Phoenix, Arizona 85012.

The Commission may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for the purpose of discussing personnel matters (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(2)), and consultation with Commission attorneys, regarding pending litigation (A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(4)), and/or obtaining legal advice for any item on the agenda (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A)(3)).
All matters on the agenda may be discussed, considered and are subject to action by the Commission.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
- Call to Order.
- Approval of Minutes of April 2, 2002.
- Consideration of Complaint, Response, and Executive Director Recommendation Regarding Janet Napolitano Campaign for Governor.
- Executive Director's Report.
- Discussion and Adoption of Candidate Statement Pamphlet Cover.
- Adoption of Supplemental Filing Rule for Qualifying Contributions, A.A.C. R2-20-105.
- Consideration and Adoption of Audit Procedure.
- Consideration and Adoption of Substantive Policy Statements Regarding Travel-Related Expenses and Solicitors of Qualifying Contributions.
- Update on Clean Elections Bills in Legislature.
- Discussion of Ascertaining Debate Sponsors.
- Legal Report (Oral Report from Assistant Attorney General Todd Lang).
Discussion and consideration concerning redistricting litigation and possible participation in legal action to establish lawful district lines for the 2002 election. The Commission may vote to go into Executive Session for legal advice and instruction of counsel pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(3) & (4).
- Call for Public Comment.
This is the time for consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Those wishing to address the Commission shall request permission in advance by filling out a speaker slip. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.
